Very hard to read black ink on the bottle gives the date 5/20/15. I hope that's bottled on.

Appearance: Deep caramel, almost reddish color with some semblance of clarity. Thin cap of white suds.

Aroma: Some tropical/citrusy hops here as well as on overall crystal/honey sweetness. A very slight dank/peachy note comes through subtly.

Taste: Big wave of sweet crystal malt and clean hop bitterness up front followed by a piercing finish that maxes out the IBUs (easily in the 80-100 range). Not really getting the tropical/juicy character the aroma hinted at but there is a bit of pine to the bitterness. I'm guessing this is on the wrong side of its enjoy by date but the overall flavor is still good. The honey flavor gradually comes through the more your palate adjusts to the lupulin level. At its strongest, the honey is merely along for the ride rather than the focal point. The balance here shifts towards the hops with the warmth of the 8.5% ABV a close second. Not boozy, but not exactly hidden either. Aftertaste is smooth sweetness turning into dry pine bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Just above medium in body with smooth carbonation. Good drinkability despite occasionally feeling like a malt bomb.

Final Thoughts: Tyranena's Brewers Gone Wild! series does it again. A great full-flavored beer that delivers. I'll have to start looking into their other offerings. Would I drink it again? Sure.

poured a 12oz bottle into snifter.

A - Light amber and orange with a decent 2 finger white head. Good retention that dies to a thin collar. Spotty lacing decorates my glass.

S - The aroma is quite tropical with pineapples, passion fruit, and mango. I also pick up some faint citrus of orange and grapefruit along with some sweet honey drenched bread.

T - The hops stand out with juicy mango, grapefruit, and orange flavor. Other tropical fruits reveal themselves a bit later with the honey covered bread. The finish is bitter pine and grapefruit.

M - Medium body with ample carbonation that is bitter and dry.

O - Tyranena has been on a roll lately and releasing so many awesome beers. This is one of the better IIPAs I have had and their best IIPA to date.

Nice amber with a creamy, nearly white head that leaves thick patches along the entire length of the glass
Very faint lilac.
Malty sweetness quickly replaced by a bitter finish that can't wait to start.
Smooth but relentless. Sustained finish.
Definitely worth a try.

L: Pours brilliant gold amber under a clingy, very fine, pillowy, 3” cream colored foam collar that takes over 4 minutes to descend to a thick film. Very lacy. S: Hop driven nose with grassy, herbal hop aromas, faint wood with some herbal notes. T: Big hop flavors of fresh mowed grass and spice supported by a firm malt backbone balanced by an assertive, bitter hop accent. F: Creamy with medium body and carbonation. O: A well balanced and easy to drink double IPA.

Wow, very reminiscent of hopslam, hop forward and you can definitely detect the honey.

Pours a medium amber with a 1 inch head that slowly dissipates leaving nice lacing. Smell is muted citrus and slight hops. Taste has a good deal of citrus with a slightly bitter hop finish. Very good beer.
