A - Hazy brown orange body, minimal white head, quick fade to nothing. Small bubble lacing, but just a touch.

S - Tart citrus. A trace of resin. Smells pretty tasty.

T - Follows the nose, with citrus leaning toward lemon, a malty toffee middle, and a tea-like bitter finish. A touch muddled.

M - A bit low on the carbonation, but bright with a clean finish.

O - Different and mostly pleasant, but seems a bit disjointed.

This is awesome for a blonde ale...which isnt saying much for me since i cant remember a blonde ale ive ever liked, plus its got a ton of stuff added to it, but one of those things is tequilla which ive really been into lately. I feel that its slightly on the sweet side and i would like to think thats from the "cherry pulp" but it does also have a tinge of artificial flavor too it but that could easily be from the agave... still i think for the price, a.b.v. And for being a blonde ale it's definitely good and worth a try, plus it's different and unique from anything ive tried before which i love. Id buy again. Had second bottle a few weeks later...rateing was a 4.25, now much lower, this time it tasted like carbonated cough syrup. Not getting any of the flavors or notes I did a few weeks ago. Idk if i have a bad bottle or my palate is just really off or my mood was just stellar the first time i tried it? This time around it's pretty rough!

Thanks to Jeff for this one. 12oz. bottle into a Surly teku. Shared with schen9303.

Tequila is apparent on the nose and only amplified by aromas of pineapple, tangerine and cane sugar. Not bad. Very unique. Beer opens corn, pineapple juice, tangerine sweetness and big tequila notes in the back. Really sweet. Not heavy enough to be syrupy but it does tickle the throat and is warming going down. Almost cloying at the finish.

A weird beer. A little too sweet for me but the flavors definitely stand out.

One more new BGW notch for my faux leather belt. 12 oz. stubby with that highly visible yellow label.

The pour is filtered gold with zilch head, much like an actual tequila sunrise. Doesn’t smell like beer. Agave & fruit & powered sugar. Bizarre.

Sailors Take Warning! is indescribable, so let’s try. Up front is tequila & agave syrup (& I understand these two things are somehow related), but that’s just the beginning of the weird-o-meter pegging at 11. Sugar-soaked oranges, booze, but it’s the cherry that really flips this into a higher stratosphere of oddness. The base beer is invisible.

Too much Perdido Street Station for me, this does backflips into the Weaver’s web beyond the ken of us mortals. Pretty good brew.

Poured 12oz bottle into snifter. Has a nice reddish orange tint with a 1 finger white head. From the aroma you can tell this is a blonde ale with some adjuncts. It is malty with light grain with a pleasant fruit flavors of orange, cherry, and hints of agave. Flavor is nice and subtle with all of the flavors coming together. The tequila never really pronounces itself, which I prefer. Feel is lighter for a bigger beer and the 9% ABV is completely hidden. A nice change of pace beer to enjoy every now and then.

Has a bit of a reddish tint but I don't think they achieved what they were going for based on the name. Smell isn't too strong but there are notes of cherry and citrus. Flavor is mild as well and you can taste the cherry, blood orange, and the sweetness from the agave but the tequila barrels don't come across very strongly. The base blonde seems to be a decent beer; nothing special. No flavor really dominates over the rest which is nice. Relatively thin but not bad. Overall it's surprisingly easy drinking despite everything that went into it but it's not something I'd seek out again even if it's not offensive in any way.
