If you like Coffee Porters this is excellent. It pours a dark rich brown, almost black, with a dense head. It smells great, and it drinks like silk! They nailed the right amount of coffee. You can definitely smell and taste the coffee, but it does not overwhelm the great porter taste either. Definitely a repeat buy.

Tasted in a Rastal Teku from a 12 oz bottle on January 27, 2017. If you like coffee porter, this one is nicely balanced. The coffee is there, but it doesn't overwhelm the hop or malt aromas/flavors. Highly recommended.

Poured from the bottle into a nonic pint glass. Bottled Nov 15th 2015, cutting a little late here.

Dark mahogany brown, and quite opaque. A little bit of carbonation and cascading sheen while pouring, but manages a simple tan head of two to three fingers tall. Settles to a nice even and thin puck and collar.

Nice simple roasting bean coffee, a slight hint of milk, but an even nice roast angle that comes off with a large toasted nut aroma. Roasted nuts and almost char like flavors on the nose, mixing with a good simple coffee angle. Very nice and solid.

Palate manages basic goods. A little bit less creamy and slightly wet than anticipated for the porter, but stays close to porter lightness. Bitter slight grains but with a good dark char and mixing coffee roast flavor in the mid palate. Finishes with just a nice hint of bitter dark chocolate, and a bit of hop kick accenting the bitterness nicely.

A pretty neat take on mixed oatmeal and porter styles, the coffee is also a nice accent that makes for interesting drinking. Solid brew. Even at this stage the brew is solid, would be nice to have one that isn't so old however, but life could be far worse.
