Murky dark amber to brown in color. Two fingers of light mocha head, retention is good. Some lacing. Fruit esters from the brandy are prominent on aroma. Notes of sweet malt and oak. On taste, malt, chocolate, fruity esters, oak. Complex and delicious. Medium full body, moderate carbonation, and a dry finish. Slightly bitter. Very impressed, this is a great brown and the brandy barrels add an interesting complexity.

Plenty of brandy flavor with a lot of brown sugar and vanilla. Looks like most other brown ales with a nice head that quickly fades away. Does not come across like a 9%+ abv beer in either the aroma or flavor.

Tan head cooper color.
Caramel, oak, vanilla and rum. Chocolate with a hint of roast. Raisins, plums, and molasses. Very sweet. Toffee.
Medium bodied. Fairly easy to drink.

L: pours brown, can see through the glass a dark red. Small off white head
S: sweetness, smokiness, char
T: sweetness from the barrel, and the typical "brown ale" flavors
F: thin/ watery
O: it was an extra in a trade and should be treated as such
