Poured cold into a libby stout glass.
Look = 4.25 Pours a deep brown with 1 finger of dark brown head that fades quickly to a ring; leaves a strong dense lace with each sip.
Aroma = 4.25 Big chocolate notes hit me first. Second is the bourbon characters complemented with notes of roast, oak, and vanilla. Overall, medium strength.
Taste = 4.25 Big chocolate flavors, vanilla, oak and roast notes all complimented with tame bourbon characteristics. Low bitterness.
Feel = 4.0 Medium to full bodied with low to medium carbonation, pretty creamy.
Drinkability = 4.25 Tame barrel characteristics and low roast bitterness make for an easy drinking double stout.
Overall = 4.2125 Really solid double stout, big on the chocolate notes, relatively tame on barrel characteristics.

Just bought a four pack the other day. Didn't seem to be a highly sought after beer at my local happening bottle store. After drinking one, I don't understand why it's not the talk of the online community. Oh wait. I do understand. It is NOT an over ten percent abv smack you in the face beer and the bourbon presence is subtle. Ok. Makes sense then. For those of you who like bourbon aged beers but don't want to get hammered and stay up all night in pain (spoken as an approaching forty year old) I highly recommend this beer. The flavor can hold up to some of the best. Some of the earlier reviews stated that it rivals KBS and BCBS. For it's price point, ease of acquisition and low abv I would agree with that absolutely. I have had a number of Tyranena's Brewers Gone Wild dark bourbon aged beers and I have to say that across the board each has been a model of artistry (Wrath of Rocky, Who's Your Daddy, etc.). Fantastic beer. Go buy it.

On tap at Tyranena. Dark pour. Aroma of mild bourbon and sweet chocolate. Very tasty. Hints of caramel, chocolate, mild roast, and just the right amount of bourbon. One of the best beers I’ve had from Tyranena.

Trade extra from a couple weeks ago. Thanks! Pours black into the glass, though not super viscous thick. Very small ring of off white or khaki head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of big earthy coffee, very very sweet chocolate sauce, just a bit of vanilla, a little bit of booze. Flavor is earthy coffee, a bit of sweet chocolate, and lots of vanilla sitting on the palate in a long finish. Not much bourbon influence here as far as I can tell. Silky smooth, but a bit on the thinner side, with low carbonation. Nice mesh of flavors here, though I expected a bit more body and a bit more bourbon. Definitely worth checking out.

Updated review of 2015 batch. Seriously good stuff. Mouthfeel is spot on. Flavor is dark chocolaty, boozy, showing that Tyranena can make some Excellent beer.
