Bottle poured into pint

Overall not bad; two finger head with moderate carbonation

Smell: hoppy and grainy; a little herbal actually

Taste: balanced throughout, highly sessionable considering the ABV

Mouthfeel: Smooth and moderate! Not watery at all.

Overall, fine beer, I would love to have this on draught

I wouldn't by a six pack.

A - Pours a light amber colour, thumb of head with decent retention and some sporadic lacing.

S - Scent is slightly metallic, grassy hop notes, hint of peppery spice and a touch of caramel.

T - A pleasant caramel flavour dominates, bready Malta linger alongside a touch of toffee and grassy hop notes.

M - Comes across a tad thin and finishes a little to dry for my liking.

O - A decent amber, but nothing spectacular. Easy drinking but needs a bit of a flavour boost to kick it to the next level.

12oz bottle poured into a Horny Goat pint glass.

Appearance- Very light brown to amber with a very small amount of white head that dissipates away. Lots of carbonation bubbles.

Smell- I get lots of bread and wheat with a tart hop.

Taste- Very malty, wheaty and bready. Hops is almost non existent.

Mouthfeel- Overly carbonated causing for a more difficult swallow/mouthfeel.

Overall- Kind of sad that this isn't better balanced with hops. The nose and carbonation leads me to believe that everything is in line for a decent amber but the lack of hop balance leaves me wanting something else added in.

Another one from these guys that I got from my brother. Poured into a pint glass. Pours a clear red with a frothy white head. Nose is sweet and fruity. Mild citrus, apple, honey. Crisp mouth, clean, subtle twangy finish. Sweet beer with sugar cookies, citrus, mild bitterness. Another good beer that is as simple as it is tasty.

Stevens Point Classic Amber, a taste of the northwoods, poured a 12oz bottle into a pint/nonic glass.

A: The beer poured a rich clear copper-red, with about a half inch of fluffy white head at the top.

S: The aroma is mainly caramel malt with a hint of hops, bread, and nuts.

T: I mainly get caramel malt, some nuttiness, and a subtle spice. The beer leaves a slightly sweet finish on the palate.

M: Crisp, clean, a medium-bodied beer, carbonation was ok.

O: A very good offering from Stevens Point. The Classic Amber is a very approachable beer with some character.
