Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a decent hazy looking orange to brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There was some light lacing speckling the glass nicely. The smell had a nice blend of sweet citrus to bittersweet sticky pine lightly dosed with sweet caramel malts. The taste was mainly sweet but still tried to get the piney hops to make a play however, they stay subdued for the most part. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was right on par for the style and for me - just enough harshness but didn’t go overboard. Overall, good APA worthy of having again if I could.

Pours a pale orange golden color with off-white head. Pine, grass, light citrus fruits, and just a hint of maltiness on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a nice balance of hop resin and caramel malt.

On tap at the Weary Traveler in Madison. Served in a pint.

A: Pours a clearish brass with a small white head.

S: Aroma brings mild citrus, bitter pith, plenty of grainy caramel.

T: Some very mild orange notes, along with some leafy bitterness, big grain.

M: Light-bodied with mild carb.

O: Another boring midwestern pale ale. I swear I can tell how these things are going to taste just by seeing the amber color sometimes. It's too bad 'cause Lake Louie makes some really great Scotch ales, but this is just generic and a bore to drink.

Had on tap at a local restaurant.

A=Rich, reddish amber...eggshell head that left quickly.

S=Sweet and hoppy.

T=Too much like an IPA...strong hops upfront, with malt in the background...citrus grapefruit present.

M=Nice body with moderate carbonation.

O=Not representative of an APA...more like an IPA; too much hops. I paired with spare ribs, and it was alright. I would not choose again.
