This beer poured out with a rich looking amber body and a nice sticky off white colored head. The lacing is very nice on this beer. The retention is pretty good too. The smell it toasted with some sweet caramel and piney hops on the nose. The taste has a solid bitterness to it with a soft malt sweetness in there also. The mouthfeel of the beer is medium bodied and has a good amount of carbonation to it. Overall I think it's pretty good IPA, I would suggest it to others.

Really solid, good bear overall. Another solid one from Widmer. I didn't have very high expectations for this company, but almost everything I have had from them is actually really solid. Good head and lacing. Nice dark amber hue. Main smell I get is grapefruit, hop oil, and earthy tones. Great hoppy taste. Very fresh tasting. My bottle was dated Aug. 17 11, but tasted very fresh to me. Mouthfeel and carbonation are quite good. A bit thin, but the carbonation helps quite a lot. Very drinkable for 7.0%. Overall, I think it's a great deal at 7.99 a six pack.

Widmer rotator falconers flight

A- beer pours a deep golden-copper color with some orange. Nice 1-1/2 finger off white frothy head. Leaves decent lacing. 4

S- grapefruit, orange zest, pine, light bready malt scent, light alcohol scent. 3.5

T- bitter grapefruit and other citrus upfront, pine, slight maliness, alcohol and a slight taste like mineraly or or maybe it's a metallic taste. Kind of strange. 3

M- good mouthfeel and carbonation. 3.5
O- this beer is good but it's very one note. Nothing special here. Worth a try if nothing is better on tap. Not worth a try at 7.99 a 4-pack. At that price it's a flat out rip off. 3

C+ (generous rating. Based on price it's a C)

Look: Orangish brown in color with a 1/4 inch head and ok retention

Smell: Floral hops upfront and in your face with a nice touch of toffee on the back end

Taste: Exactly how the thing smells is what you get on your palate which is actually quite impressive of a feat but not all that impressive of a flavor profile

Mouthfeel: Medium body and medium carbonation

Overall: Just another example of a boring yet drinkable beer from Widmer
