Bottled 1/25/12.
Pours a murky honey orange with a 1/2 inch foamy orange-bone colored head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of citrus zest, tea leaves, and an assortment of spices. These spice aromas are pretty in your face and somewhat jarring really. Taste is a bit more balanced with citrus zest, astringent tea, and the spice flavors that linger on the tongue long after each sip. These spices create a medicinal type of bitterness that coats the mouth. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good IPA with an interesting twist but the spices are a bit more up front than I was expecting.

Dark yellow appearance with about a half inch of white head. Aroma was complex, tea, hops, spice rack, even some cinnamon?
This is unique, the mix of tea leaves, spice and hops, I kinda dig it. Some rosemary and sage. A little bit of citrus. More than just a neat unique idea, they pull it off in the execution. Would bang again.
