Very dark brown. Thick frothy heads which dissipates to a thin scum.
Coffee, chocolate and toasted malt aroma.
Demi-sec. Chocolate and mocha taste.
Rather thin but also refreshing for a porter.

This is a wonderful rich hoppy porter, it should be drank slightly chilled NOT fridge cold .
This is a great drink for them that like a slightly sweeter drink but still has that delicious burnt , toasted flavour.
At the moment most Aldi shops are selling it for 99p per 330ml bottle , BARGIN !

Appearance: It's a very dark with a light beige frothy head about an inch thick that leaves behind good lacing as the head thins out.
Aroma: Milk chocolate, licorice, dark roasted coffee, roasted malts, slight char on the hops. Vanilla bean notes round this one out.
Taste: Real heavy milk chocolate, vanilla bean, dark roasted coffee, roasted malts and hops with very faint licorice. A rather silky mouthfeel.
Notes: Well this one is good. Could it be better yes, but still not too bad. Cheers.

Bottled
Pours a mid brown body with decent enough tan head
Aroma of nescafe (milked) on ice
There's coffee there in the flavour more so than the porter
Mainly because it feels Thinner than Karen Carpenter

Pours hazy burgundy brown into a tulip from a bottle. The offwhite head is 2 - 3 fingers high, fluffy, and moderately well retained. It leaves decent lacing on the glass.
The aroma is very creamy cocoa with a mild coffee nose. There is something fudgy, but it's rather subtle compared to the double cream that dominates. The flavour is definately a mocha more than a coffee; very creamy and milk chocolatey. There is a mild coffee presence but it's in the minutia, just noticeable. There's also a strong caramel thing going on, a maltiness amongst it all.
It feels rather thin for a porter, quite watery and light which just doesn't do it for me; a porter should be thick and rich and this doesn't even come close.
If it weren't for the poor body I think I'd've enjoyed this beer more; it has a nice balanced creamy flavour, but the flavour isn't enough to save it from the rest of the package.
