Nice dark ruby colour with a decent and steady head of foam. Weak smell of caramel, yeast and some metal. The taste is fine: dark fruits, caramel, dark malt and chocolate. Alcohol is notable but blends with the other flavours very well. It actually gives this beer some hints of brandy when swallowing. Mouth feel is smooth but watery. A decent dubbel, though the smell and mouth feel are a bit disappointing.

caramel, bubble gum, dark fruit, lighter mouthfeel than expected considering the darker color, greatly enjoyed

Poured a dark amber into the "glass" - they actually use a ceramic goblet for this beer - It provides a nice head with retention. Good flavor. Enjoyable.

A - Beautiful dark ruby and brown colouration with a creamy latte head that has good retention and leaves some lace. Zero carbon evidence in the glass.

S - Phenol clove aroma some band-aid aroma too but thankfully it is not too pronounced mild to moderate alcohol light fruit and some candy sugar from the crystal malts.

T - Sweet, supporting a mild hop bitterness with mild linger and there is also some fruit but it is slight and the flavour is more onto the malty sugary end with a light boozy element.

MF - Full and creamy with plenty of tingly body and boozy warmth.

Overall - Top notch! This beer is full of flavour and has a nice balance and warmth that makes it a pleasure to sip at. For me this made a cracking after dinner tipple.
