A 250ml clear glass bottle with a BB of Sept 2018. Purchased recently from Home Bargains. The label mentions that this beer is flavoured with light and dark tequila.
A: Poured into a tulip. A rich amber colour with excellent clarity and light carbonation. Forms a decent head that lasts for a moment before collapsing and dissipating.
S: Aroma of sweet fruit flavourings and sugar, with a hint of faint malt in the background. No obvious hop character. Smells like candy.
T: Tastes of sweet artificial fruit flavourings with notes of sugar/sweetener, faint malt and a subtle acrid cardboard hint in the background. No hop character or bitterness to speak of. Not sure what the tequila is supposed to taste like.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, with spritzy carbonation and a relatively insubstantial body for the strength. Aftertaste of sweet fruit flavourings and a harsh cardboard hint in the background.
O: Meh - pseudobeer for kids. Average looks for a lager, while the aroma and flavour are dominated by sweet artificial flavourings. Thin body. The tequila isn't obvious, but maybe it's supposed to be more like a margarita or something. This isn't particularly good, and I recommend that you spend your money on something else.
