Bottle 0.55L.
Clear brown/reddish body with small, frothy, off-white head, mostly diminishing with some kind of lacing, though.
Light malty aroma (caramel) and not much more than that...
Light-to-moderate sweet flavour with light bitter character; overall watery feeling.
Light body with watery texture; flat carbonation.
Somehow disappointing.

Dark copper color, mid-sized white head . Caramel malt dominates in the aroma. Taste of caramel, brown sugar, fruits. Sweet on the start and bitter in the finish and aftertaste.

The original Newcastle Brown Ale has reappeared on shelves in my local beer store. The Lagunitas remake was widely available in the southeast and at nearly every supermarket however it was a completely different beer. Newcastle original has an almost sour malt that is unique. It tastes the same as when I last tried it at age 22 at my singers wedding. It would go amazing with Fish and Chips.

Picked up a single bottle at Bradfords Liquors in Plymouth, Massachusetts for about four dollars. Have had a few times before. Bottled on date 8/11/24. Just ok.
