Pours into a nonic a clear brass color with a thinner white head atop.Aromas are full of pine resin and earth, more old school in nature,a slight caramel/biscuit malt base as well.More malt on the palate with caramel and biscuit upfront then a leafy resinous finish that lingers. It's just a solid older school IPA here,it's very good and easy to find.

12 oz bottle with a 14 Feb. 2017 bottling date.
Clear amber body topped by a semi-durable white head. Excellent lacing.
Pungent, hoppy aroma.
Moderately bitter but strong, complex hop flavors. Hints of grapefruit, other citrus and tropical fruits, herbs and pine.

FILLED 01/06/17

Pours a clear gold with a low frothy white cap. Smells like a wild, spicy blend of hops: leafy herbs, pine cones, cat pee, weed, rotting fruit, and crackers. Spicy hop resins linger on the tongue, tempered a bit by a little malty sweetness. Dank and oily. Crisp medium body with a bitter finish. Pretty solid IPA right here...just keep moving if you're looking for something "juicy".

Poured into a Sierra Nevada Spiegelau glass. Base of bottle says Filled 01/20/17.

A- Pours a medium amber color with a 1/2 inch off-white head that retains well before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a full sheet of surface foam. Resilient lacing leaves a broken ring behind.

S- Dank, spicy hop aroma with some sturdy malt backing.

T- Great balance of zesty bitterness, dry malt flavor and more spicy hops. Very drinkable and refreshing.

M- Somewhat sharp from the hops with medium carbonation and a body leaning toward the lighter side. Great hop burps.

O- If this was year-round, it would be my go-to affordable IPA six-pack. Such great hop character and well-rounded flavor profile.

Pours a clear golden small bar pour white head.

Aroma is bready malts, tropical fruits light hoppy notes mostly just fruity.

Taste is like the nose bready malts, tropical fruits, with light herbal and grassy bitterness for the finish.

Mouhfeel is on the lighter side with crisp carbonation.

Overall eh not Highlands best IPA, not bad but not really good enough to have again.

A: Pours a crystal clear medium deep copper in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate burnt orange + golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense foamy light beige head that slowly reduces to a large patch of thick film covering the entire surface of the beer with a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Slightly heavier than moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of herbal, citrus/grapefruit zest, tropical/passionfruit, and dank hops over moderate aromas of caramel + biscuit malts.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of caramel + biscuit malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of herbal, citrus/grapefruit zest, tropical/passionfruit, and dank hops which impart a just shy of moderate amount of bitterness which lingers for a short while.

M: Just shy of medium bodied with a slightly heavier than moderate amount of carbonation. Slightly crisp upfront with a hint of dryness in the finish.

O: An enjoyable, easy to drink, old school West Coast IPA with well hidden alcohol. I could easily see this being something to bring to the next cookout I'm invited to since it is enjoyable and priced affordably.
