Notes / Commercial Description:
This American Pale Ale is meticulously handcrafted for full floral hop aroma and flavor. Pours a very transparent pale amber.

The smell is actually very hoppy. I smell citrus, lemon and grapefruit.

The taste is citrus, much like the smell, there is a little bitterness, finishing with a slightly sweet and grainy finish.

The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied, with quite high carbonation.

Overall this surprised me a lot, it tasted much more hoppy than most pale ales and at a low abv is very sessionable. This could have been marketed as a low abv ipa. I actually thought it to be much better than Founders all day ipa and at a slightly lower abv.

Purchased as part of a spring sampler pack. Poured into Spieglau IPA glass.

Color is light gold, clear, bubbly. Decent head and some retention. I get scents of citrus fruit, orange rinds, some floral essences. A little bit of sweet maltiness in there too. The taste is light and crisp. Mild floral hops up front followed by some sweet fruitiness and a well-balanced malty finish. Not overpowering but still pretty flavorful; better as it warms up. Mouthfeel is smooth and light yet enough body to leave that light coating after you're done; pretty nice. Overall a nice little pale ale, good hop flavor, malt balance. Perfect for a hot summer day in the backyard.

Thanks to Rusel_G for the bottle.

Appearance: Perfectly clear gold. Head is bright-white and creamy. Moderate retaention on a small loose cap and collar. Some lacing. Moderate to lively carbonation.

Smell: Floral. mega floral. Flower petals and some citrus. Very light malt body has some crackery elements coupled with a light bready aroma. Dank in turn. Legit weed on the front of this one. Light pale malt sweetness. Bright and clean. Some pine.

Taste: More of the nose. Dank and grassy with more pine than originally thought. Light and clean. Touches of citrus with a pale, light malt sweetness. Some cracker and a ton of floral elements. A bit bready and grainy. Balanced and easy.

Mouthfeel: Light body pushes to medium. Slightly above average carbonation. Crisp and clean. Slightly dry.

Overall: Eases the passing of the week.

Summer drinking beer and then some. Light, crisp, and clean, with enough hop flavor. Delightful.

Appearance: Arrives with a clear pale yellow liquid capped by a decent head that leaves some lacing

Smell: Vague but pleasant hints of pine and citrus

Taste: Hop forward, with a floral hint of pine and citrus; the malt base adds a bready, slighly grainy character

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with crisp carbonation

Overall: Refreshing and enjoyable

On-tap at Barley's Taproom, Asheville, NC

A: The beer is crystal clear yellow in color and has a slight amount of carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles on the surface and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of citrus, floral and grassy hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of pale malts and and grassy hops, the latter of which contributes a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very easy to drink and has just enough hops to keep things interesting.

Reviewed from notes. Had on-tap at the Cigar City tasting room. Served in a pint glass.

A: Completely clear, medium gold. Just over a finger's worth of white head and a fair amount of lively carbonation.

S: Not a big nose on this. Citrus, pine, and grassy hops over very light cracker malt.

T: Follows the nose in notes. It's fairly balanced, with a finish that's lightly bitter with residual citrus hop flavor.

M: Light body, medium carbonation sensation, no alcohol presence in particular.

O: Solid enough APA. An enjoyable session beer, but nothing I would actively seek out repeatedly.
