Pours a slightly cloudy yellowish gold. A small head fades to a nice thick ring, and leaves some decent lacing.
Somewhat subdued in the nose. Kind of a sweet fruity wheat aroma.
Light malty wheat backbone. Citrussy orange and a fruity quality that really comes alive as the beer warms. Nice hop flavor with a slight citrussy bitterness. A bit of alcohol stays relativeley hidden, but shows itself here and there. Definately more of a wine flavor than any beer I've ever tried.
Medium bodied. Well carbonated. Niceley dry.
This is one I may not have found without seeing it on somebody's trading want's list... glad I found it, as I'll revisit this one more often.

L: brilliant amber, 2” pillowy head dissipates to thick film, finely bubbled. S: not a big nose
T: Some baked bread, deep rich malt, light caramel to toffee, some light banana a hint of cardamom.
F: Creamy rich with a triple’s fullness of body, medium to medium low carbonation. The carbonation is very soft
O: For the color the body is surprisingly big – some spice but not extreme. Extraordinarily drinkable and smooth for 9.2% abv.

Older bottle shared by Mike at the meeting tonight, thanks for the opportunity!
Sweet rich malty fruitiness with hints of spice bread and hints of sherry like oxidation. Nice sipper but headed down the other side of the bell curve.

No bottling date that I can find.
A: Pours a clear ruby red. Tall, very tall frothy light tan head. Good head retention as it sticks around quite well. Moderate, fluffy bits of lacing.
S: Wheaty for sure. Loaded with sweet grains. Lightly floral. Touch of pine perhaps?
T: Oh yeah, definitely piney up front with a little floral action too. Instant sweet, sweet graininess that's hard to really describe accurately. Spicy pine again in the finish with a decent wave of bitterness. Herbal and spicy in fact. Lingering herbal spiciness and just a hint of flowers.
M: Medium bodied, sweet up front. Spicy and lightly dry in the finish.
O: Nice spicy, hoppy wheat wine. Hoppiness keeps this one from being too one-note and bland. This really isn't far from a big american barleywine if I'm honest (like Bigfoot). Just extra wheaty I suppose. Tasty.

From BeerAdvocate magazine Issue #65 (June 2012):
LOOK: Hazed-over straw, epic head retention
SMELL: Nougat, orange pith, boozy alcohol, white cherries, grassy, almonds, white pepper, mandarin oranges, bread crust
TASTE: Smooth, sublimely creamy, full bodied, loaf of bread, Grape Nuts, fermented wheat twang, bitter, boozy, chalky, inner sweetness, lemon peel, husky, melon rind, peppery, rose water, yeast, dried grassy finish
Very bold without getting in our faces too much, this is a massive ale, but that’s expected for this style … a style that is still being defined. Cheers to Marin Brewing Co. for not hopping the crap out of this Wheatwine; the massive malt backbone is the showcase from the first sip to the last drop.
