Bottle: Poured a light golden clear yellow color ale with some white hue and a big foamy head with less then average retention. Aroma of citrus syrup with some weak malt and some sugar is reminiscent of coolers. Taste is dominated by some weak malt with a good dose of citrus notes. A bit too sweet for my palate but still very refreshing. I’m sure this could have turned out worse then what I drank; overall it kind of reminded me of those Lindemans beers.

The colour ig pale orange-yellow. The beer is bottle conditioned, but the yeast is quite firm and the liquid is almost clear. I might have poured the beer the wrong way, but I didn’t get any foam at all.

The not-too-strong smell is very fruity (carambola, apricots, bananas, oranges, lemons) with some sour motes and a hint of bitterness.

The taste is much sweeter than I am used from the Belgian witbiers that I have come across. The taste is very fruity with sweet bananas, oranges, passion fruits, lemons, green apples and banana peels. The sour notes with flavours of green tea and lime balances the sweetness. There is absolutely no bitterness in this brew but a slight dry (banana peels-style) hint in the finishing notes.

The carbonation is much stronger than I had expected from the looks (nu bubbles, no head). Small bubbles. Refreshing!

A more fruity and more discreet witbier then the Belgian ones.

Very light yellow color and good, creamy foam. The smell is dominated by organges and peaches. The taste is disappointing and much thinner than the smell led me to expect. Sweet and mild citrus but basically a lot like watery fruitjuice. Even if you follow the label's advice and squeeze some lemon into it it doesn't help much.

Soft creamy and foamy head, lasting a little while on an opaque and very pale golden color. The smell is fresh and sweet but kinda artificial, almost soda like. Like a mix of beer and ginger ale with some syrup. The taste is quite similar to the taste: very citric and artificial, with a light oily hoppiness.Peach and orange, but fake. The mouthfeel seems interestingly creamy at first, and then shows a slightly grainy wheat character. Nothing to get excited about...

Citrus, sweet aroma. Not too strong, though. Almost a fake aroma to it, like extract was added. Light yellow cloudy with very tiny white dissipating head. Very little lacing. Watery body with med-heavy carbonation. Very tart &and lemony! Not a pleasant lemon flavor, but more astringent. Light bitter finish. Watery after. Not very good - bad bottle?

Purchased in a grocery in Paris this magnum was dated 28.08.03. Sweet yeast nose with a wiff of corriander. Cloudy light orange color with a sticky thick creamy white head. There is a nice white sheen that settles and creates a sticky lace on the glass. Smooth slight citrus taste (lemon) with light notes of corrieander and nutmeg. Quite light overall but the brew still does have nice smoothness on the tongue. Its flavors are subtile, rounded, and light. This would be a great wit for spring and summer months. Nothing in the brew is overpowering yet the brew is not watery. Its taste is balanced well with refreshing citrus and spice. I wish I had bought two!
