An India Pale Ale, this golden colour, medium body ale packs a notable hop bitterness punch. Cask conditioned and dry hopped.

Pours a dark gold colour with a thick gooey head. Lots of soapy lacing left on my glass. A strange metallic smell overpowers the otherwise hoppy aroma. Hoppy, grassy and floral notes dominate the taste. Bready background. Full bodied mouthfeel and nicely carbonated

Lovers of American IPA’s will likely dismiss this as insufficiently hoppy. Not at all - but the hopping is grassy herbal, not citrusy, piney, grapefruity. All this over over a bready, toasty, caramelly malt base. The two held in balance. Of course, I would prefer a 19c recipe (OG ca 1070 - 1075. But then they have to sell their beer, and I have to drive home.

On cask at the brewpub...
A: Pours a nice light golden with about one finger of puffy white head. The foam lingers for a bit but settles nicely. There is some lacing left in the glass as it drinks.
S: This beer smells of very floral, with notes of light malt and some citrus presence in the background. The floral qualities are really dominate.
T: The beer starts out with a mild sweetness right up front. The floral notes come on strong afterward and linger with the sweetness all the way through to the finish. There is a very slight citrus taste that mingles with the flowers at the very end.
M: Might bodied beer. It slides through the mouth and down the gullet without any hesitation. It's super drinkable and something I could enjoy more of than just a single pint.
O: This is a really solid English style IPA. It is a deliciously flavored, easy drinking beer that i would return to again the future.

Cask at Gambrinus Bistro & Cafe. Pretty sure this is the first time the IPA has appeared at a bar outside of Toronto.
Taps a golden amber hue with one finger of bright white head and thick sheets of lacing on the pint glass.
Smell is orange peel, apricot, mango, marmalade, lemon, green tea, jujube candy, perfume, and floral aromas.
Taste closely follows the nose with Fuzzy Peach, mango, nectarine, a juicy orange-like sweetness, apricot, biscuity pale malts, and a resinous, lemony bitterness to end.
Mouthfeel is soft, light side of medium bodied, delicate citric spiciness on the palate with an off-dry finish and fleeting aftertaste.
Overall, this is a solid English IPA with inviting flavours and aromas that are more subtle than what you typically find in American renditions of the style. It's an easy-drinking and tasty quaff - nothing more, nothing less. Cheers to Milos for getting this one down to London!

On cask at the brewpub, served in a pint glass.
Served a pale yellow with some hints of orange in the body. Typical cask head, soapy and big bubbles. Moderate retention. Nose has some English hops, and is quite bready for the most part. Taste is just as bready, if not more so. Good body, more English hops, some mild pine notes, light diacetyl. Good drinkability, decent body. Low cask carbonation, and a good lingering bitterness; likely more bitter than any of their other offerings. Decent overall.

This beer appears a clear medium golden apricot hue, with a small amount of fizzy, soapy white head, which leaves a small ring of lace as it recedes. It smells of light citrus - orange, mostly, and white biscuit grain. The taste is bitter orange pith, and mildly sweet biscuit malt. The carbonation is average, for a cask pour, so pretty light then, the body smooth and fairly full and round, and the finish is dry, earthy, with a little weedy hop edge.
Much more flavourful than I was expecting from an EIPA. Another decent 'Canadian' IPA.

Appearance: Pours a hazy yellow body with a wispy white head.
Smell: Faint aroma of pale malts and citric-smelling grapefruit.
Taste: Watered down pale malt taste with one to two drops of caramel sweetness. Light citrusy grapefruit taste. Medium bitterness. Watery, citric finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Mild carbonation. Spitefully watery.
Drinkability: I'm sorry, Granite, but I didn't care this brew one bit. Calling it a "simple" IPA would be the nicest thing you could say.
