On tap at the brewpub, into a pint glass.

Murky brown in colour with some dark orange highlights. Sheets of lacing and solid retention. Nose is a bit sweet, with some bready malts and leafy hop notes. Quite English in nature with alot of Granite house character (either the malts or the yeast). Perhaps a bit of toffee as well. Taste has some mild English hop notes, sweet caramel, bready and again with a signature Granite feel to it. Moderatly drying and subtly sweet in the finish. Medium low carbonation with a decent body. I'd call this more of an English brown than an Altbier - even this was supposed to be a 'one-off,' I could see this fitting in quite nicely with the current Granite lineup.

Very brown with some white head. Malty aroma. Spot on the style though surprisingly boozy. A story of malting complexity, and modestly bitter at 23 ibu.Beer for Boobs event at Bar Volo, had on cask, also was available on tap.Middling mouthfeel, good drinkability.
