Aroma is of lemon soda, pours a nearly opaque straw yellow with a dusting of white head. Light body, easy drinking, with a crisp lemon flavor. The low ABV helps make this a great refreshing summer beer.

Zitrone has a thick, fluffy, white head, a cloudy, lemon-yellow appearance, with racing bubbles and moderate glass lacing. Aroma is of sugary lemon, with underlying malt, and the flavor is the same. The body is medium, and Zitrone finishes crisp & tart.

Lemon Style of the classic Radler from Austria. Easy drinking as it sits on the bar.

500 ml can into pint glass, canned on 3/18/2017. Pours hazy pale golden/yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lightly tart lemonade, lemon/lime zest, citrus peel, cracker, white bread, and light herbal/grassy earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance of lemon soda, pale malt, and light earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of lightly tart lemonade, lemon/lime zest, citrus peel, cracker, white bread, and light herbal/grassy earthiness. Light herbal/grassy/citrus peel bitterness and lemon soda tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart lemonade, lemon/lime zest, citrus peel, cracker, white bread, and light herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nice robustness and balance of lemon soda, pale malt, and light earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitter/tartness balance, and zero puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitter/tartness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and light body; with a very smooth, and fairly grainy/sticky/acidic balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 2.5%. Overall this is a nice radler style. All around good robustness and balance of lemon soda, pale malt, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. Very flavorful and not watery feeling for the low ABV. Well balanced lemon soda and helles flavors, with solid earthy hop presence. A nicely enjoyable offering, and well made style example.

A thanks to the founding father of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 16.9 oz. can. Has a cloudy, bright yellow color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of lemons, little else. Taste is lemons, grains, neither to sweet or to tart. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is refreshing and highly crushable, but with such a low abv, I guess that should be expected.

At a glance, it seems this beer is rated poorer than it should be based on a distaste for "fruity beers," and not because it is a poor representation of the style.

Appearance: Pours a vibrant yellow hay color with an opaque haze. The head is minimal and doesn't stick around for long as the radler's carbonation eats through it.

Aroma: Smells of fresh lemon and sweet key lime. Reminiscent of homemade lemonade or limeade. An absolute pleasure to sniff.

Taste: Nothing too complex, a lovely carbonated lemon beverage combined with the standard Stiegl pils. The pils by itself isn't anything to call home about, but its slight malt and pleasant breadiness compliments the sweet lemonade and crisp tartness this radler brings to the table. Absolutely lovely, although it can be cloyingly sweet if drank in excess.

Mouthfeel: This radler is very carbonated, some would say too carbonated, but I prefer it this way. As previously stated, the carbonation will eat through the head and lacing, but on a hot summer day, the trade-off is well worth it. Few mass produced radlers are as spritzy and full bodied.

Overall: For my personal tastes, this is my go to lemon radler. The carbonation may be too high for some, and the sweet lemon notes may be too overpowering for some, but to me, it is the ideal ratio I look for. It is a wonderful replacement for soda pop and a very simple building block for beer cocktails (add a shot of gin or vodka to this and you are really cooking). It would be rated higher if people thought of it as a fun summer radler and possible mixed drink ingredient rather than a standalone "fruit/vegetable beer."

Refreshing. My first Radler. It is medium sweet lemonade and a light lager. Would be a great hot weather beer if you like lemonade and don't like full flavored beer.
