Just starting to drink and learn to appreciate this style. I can understand why this particular Radler is popular. One could consume several on a warm day after a bike ride.

Extremely hazy dull yellow body with fizzy white head that quickly disappears. The nose is nearly pure grapefruit juice; a touch of wheat grounds this thought. The flavor better showcases the beer aspect by providing light malt akin to bread and a bit of yeastiness. It also has no tartness and even has mild sweetness. The soda 'Squirt' comes to mind, as offensive as that may be to the brewers. The body is light, a bit sugary, lightly carbonated.
A classic for a reason. While this is an abomination to purists, it is also a shining example of incorporating (hijacking) fruit into beer, to the point where it is difficult to tell whether it is alcoholic fruit juice or very fruity beer. Worth a try no matter what camp one finds oneself in.

Pours a light hazy yellow with a scant pop of white head sitting on top. The head is quick to leave the scene.

The smell is a refreshing pop of grapefruit that does not overwhelm as it has kind of a whet bread undertone to soften it.

The taste is so darn good! Kind of like a Squirt soda with a bit more body to it. The grapefruit is prominent but like the smell does not overwhelm.

Mouth is light and fizzy. Seems to almost pop in the mouth with all of the carbonation.

There is a lot of good going on here. For a great summer Radler this one is a real nice offering. With such a low ABV a person could drink several of these and not worry about becoming a blubbering train wreck. The only bite is the price, I paid 10.99 before tax for a 4 pack of 16.9 oz. cans. i guess I could get over the price for the quality of this refreshing beverage.

Pours hazy and a mild yellow color with minimal head in the 1/5" range. Aroma smacks of grapefruit harder than your 90s ipa bragging about C hops and triple digit ibus.

Taste is like drinking a Squirt soda pretty much. Lots of grapefruit and carbonation, little to nothing in the way of hops, malt or yeast to perceive here. Do I like the "taste"? Sure. It ain't bad, I like Squirt right? But in terms of do I like the taste of this "beer" that often isn't going to be what I am looking for. Super hot day around a body of water? Sure, break it out. But like, an indoors drinking session while watching sports? Prolly not. Thankfully, the mouthfeel isn't such that it is cut with sugar to balance it out.

In terms of shandy/fruit beers, there is nothing wrong with this one at all. Prolly the gold standard from what I've had over the years. For me, the problem is, when the conditions call for this beer, I'd rather just have a session ipa, pale ale, berliner, gose, gueze/lambic etc. . .

Pounder can into a Stone pint glass.

A: Pours hazy white like white grapefruit juice; hugely foamy white head sticks around forever.

S: A citrus assault of white grapefruit, orange, lemon and lime.

T: Same here - big white grapefruit flavors as well as half-sweetened orange juice, finishes with tart lemon and lime as well as a touch of a yeasty/bready malt quality from the beer. There are even white grape/white wine flavors as well.

MF: Big effervescence in a light, refreshing body. Spritzer-like.

O: A good Radler, still fairly sweet but much more natural-tasting than some of the other mixed beer options like Leinenkugel's Shandy. Like drinking grapefruit juice. Could be a great low-abv option for summer. Refreshing.

Half & half beer and citrus juice. Murky green but authentic flavours, very refreshing. Wonderful grapefruit nose. The gold standard for radlers.
