light golden amber lager shaping up before my eyes. A small, maybe a half an inch of white head came up over the top and settled down quickly into a light veil across the top.
The aroma was light. Some small amount of smoked in it, with lots of grain and bready malts, though I have to admit, not much here to really pick up on. The flavor was a bit better. Lots of campfire like smokiness in it, with a subtle, yet easily definable bready malt base. Some sweetness, caramel maybe and a light peach flavor when cold that quickly gets burnt out by the smoked and roasted malts. Way too light of a feel, almost makes the flavor get lost as it comes across a bit watered down.

An excellent German lager, but taste & smell just aren't up there with the bigger names. A good, but expensive change of pace, however. It's just a tad light in the malt & hops flavor department, but worth a try.

I've spent a couple afternoons in the Munich Augustiner biergarten. I've also tried dozens of beers labeled 'Helles' by regional US midwest breweries that never quite approached the taste of a Munich helles. It ain't a cheap import beer, but it scratches that itch to taste something similar to a Munich helles.

Nice floral lager, acacia is definitely present, need to be had ice cold though, otherwise it's not that good shame I'm not that much a fan of cold beer

330 ml bottle poured into a mug.
Bottled 4/17/23
L: Brilliant gold, 2 finger white head, foam is dense with areas of larger bubbles, head hangs on for quite a bit and leaves some lace.
S: Light toasted grain and spicy Noble hops.
T: Balanced malt to hop, toasted barley, spicy and floral hops flavor, has hints of white grape, floral hop aftertaste.
F: High carbonation, light crisp feel, chewy, has some light astringency.
O: Nice utility Lager, good table beer, good starter beer, I would love a more fresh sample.

Munich's finest. it's perfect. it's got enough of a flavor profile to enjoy on its own, but also has a very light after taste and light feel which enables you to enjoy with a meal. prost

Poured from a 330ml bottle code L20092228……… ever so slightly hazy nice golden color with very little carbonation. Very very tiny bubbles the sight of a good beer! Nice long lasting lacing. The smell is pleasant with a bit of a citrus note. The taste is wonderful, this is a a great all round beer. This would be a great chugger due to the light carbonation but why would you? This is a beer to savor and enjoy Prost!

Undecipherable date code; drank 6/5/23 @ the Yarchives.
See-through dull orange/yellow appearance.
An even pour yielded a nice white head; frothy lace.
Corn, oak & faint ash notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Sweet corn, mild oak & faint floral notes.
Superior German beer.
