On tap at The Alchemist in August. Review from notes.

Pours a nice yellow/gold with a thick frothy white head. Hop explosion on the nose. Tropical hop combo with some dankness hiding behind. The taste offers more of the same. This is so delicious and hoppy without being too bitter or one dimensional. Creamy and fantastic all the way around. There is no hint of the 8.8% abv. Mouthfeel is just right.

Another fantastic DIPA from The Alchemist. I wish they would can this (along with many others). It certainly rivals Heady Topper IMO.

From 08/28/10 notes. Had on tap at The Alchemist in Vermont.

a - Pours a golden amber color with one inch of white head and light carbonation evident.

s - Smells of citrus hops, pine hops, and light fruity malts.

t - Tastes of citrus, and smooth fruity malts. Not quite as bitter as Heady Topper, but has a tiny bit of bitterness.

m - Medium body and moderate carbonation, smooth easy to drink.

d - A really enjoyable DIPA that gives Heady Topper a run for its money. Overall I would rank this beer below Heady Topper but ahead of Holy Cow, but all three are great IPA's; The Alchemist clearly knows what they're doing with that style. Would love to have this beer again.

Nice light golden hue with tight bubbled lasting head.

The aroma it of orange and hops.

The taste was of sweet pink grapefruit, I know it was brewed with orange, but I get a wonderful pink grapefruit flavor. The malt shows its true colors in this one.

This is a very drinkable.

Pours a nice white/gold color with a decent head that fades into my glass.

Aroma has a subtle hint of curacao orange in addition to citrusy hops. Dry hopped with amarillo.

Taste is marvelous with grapefruit upfront (from the hops) followed by curacao orange in the middle.

Finishes clean with lingering grapefruit mainly.

Hard to describe just how awesome this beer is. Just when I think it couldn't get better, it does. Just, wow.

Served in a 12oz tulip.

Pours bright orange with a 2-finger white head. Turns to a thin ring and leaves some lacing.

Smell is citrus with a strong ripe orange scent, due to the orange peel being added in brewing.

The taste is somewhat similar to Heady Topper, except less balanced. The malt isn't as present making it a little bitter, the orange taste is stronger. This is still a great DIPA, The Alchemist knows what they're doing in that category for sure.

A = Cloudy pee color (in a good way), Nice off white head leaves a light cling around the glass on the way down as is simmers down to a thing layer.

S = Slight spice... corriander? reminds me almost of a white. However the aroma is really subtle.

T = This guy is pretty good. It has an awesome three part flavor profile. It starts off with the spice, which is replaced with the strong fruity hop character which goes into a slight alcohol then finally a hoppy aftertaste.

M = Smooth.... really performs great on cask. The malty mouthfeel really makes up for the lack of carbonation and the warming of the alcohol is a great supplement. Not overwhelming but pleasant.

D= Very refreshing and quite complex love it love it. This is agreat example of how a cask should be.

On cask poured into a 12oz stemmed planer glass.

Poursa very pale hazy wheat color with a nice two finger white fluffy head that immediately starts putting some nice fine lacing all down te sides. Nose is sweet, hoppy, fruity and floral. The orange adds a really cool note to it.

Taste is amazing! It's quite bitter and hoppy but it's got an awesome orange finish, as you'd expect from the orange. The bite on the back of your tongue is totally unique. Mouthfeel is rich and creamy with that nice cask touch. Really easy drinking - no idea this is almost 9%!

I finished off my night with this brew. It was served to me in a pill's type glass it was a straw colored body. With a nice two finger billowing white head that lasted as long as my glass of beer lasted.

Awesome Simcoe aroma filled my nose big and floral. Piney along with a nice citrus note as well. The flavor of orange peel and grapefruit were strong on this brew. A great hop head brew if I don't say so myself. It was very refreshing and had a medium feel in my mouth with ample carbonation.

This brew was really easy to drink would have had another if it wasn't for the fact. I took my parents to the place and didn't was to be too drunk when I left.
