This store is located next to a pretty solid English pub, Fox and Hound. When you first walk in it appears that they don't have any beer other than BMC in the cooler windows. They don't have any craft beer at room temp. The craft beer they do have is in a small beer cave. They have four tiered racks that go along all four walls of the cooler and also have a decent amount of assorted beers in the middle to make an island. They've got a good selection of bombers, notably Avery, Allagash, Stone, Great Divide, and Goose Island. They have Indiana well covered but I would like to see more Three Floyds, especially bombers. You can tell that they must not sell very much craft beer, since they do have a decent amount of bottles with older dates or labeling. This location just doesn't have as many options as other stores in the area.

This is a place I use to go to pretty often when I lived in Indy. It's not too small to have a pretty good selection and they carry a good number of quality brews. They have the more common stuff but they also have some that can be a little harder to find. I like the bottled selection and it's the only place I've gone that has a frequency program. I also like that they kept their beers in coolers. Service is okay but nothing special. I couldn't get much about what anyone there knows because they don't talk very much. When they do they seem to know their stuff though. A good place to get your beer.

I purchased a 4 pack of Bourbon County Stout from Goose Island. I think this is noteworth considering its a top 25 beer. The selection is ok but not much I havent seen or tried before. The prices were decent. Overall this place is good if you are close by but drove drive out of your way for it. Then again they had Bourbon County ;-)

Overall: a decent store with good help and good prices. they had Bourbon County Stouts, a small selection of Stone, and no Founders. They didnt have 3 Floyds either last time.

I think the beer selection has increased quite a bit since the first reviews were written. They offer a wide array of good, and in some cases, hard to find craft beers from across the country. They regularly have several offerings from Stone, Dogfish Head, Bell's, Three Floyds and many, many more. They also have a big selection of large single bottles and good import selection. Nearly all beer is refrigerated, and they offer a free beer club that includes discounts once you've spent a certain amount. Overall, still a bit pricey, but the selection makes up for it. An excellent beer store, in my opinion.

Castleton Wine and Spirits is a beer store in Indy that's worth visiting if you're nearby, but not driving out of your way for. Their selection is decent and chances are they will have plenty of beer that you haven't tried, but among the good beer stores in Indy, they are dead last on selection. They don't really carry much in the way of interesting Belgians either. The best part about this store is that every single beer is refrigerated - yes you heard me correctly, every single beer. They are all contained in a walk in cooler or a standalone cooler in the main store. Having said that, it's even more a good thing that they're all refrigerated because this place does have certain beers that they don't move very quickly and that will stay on the shelves long after their expiration date. Being refrigerated helps for sure. I've never really been helped here in the dozen or so times I've visited, so that's why I gave the service low marks. Plus the guy who's almost always running the counter (who I assume is some kind of manager or owner) is a little on the surly side and doesn't have a very good sense of humor. This is a good beer store, but in a city rife with excellent beer stores, it's definitely not my first choice.

I have been to this establishment several different times. Their selection is a little above average and the prices are competitive. I saw in the available selection today, and this is why I am writing a review about it today. Sam Adams Holiday Porter. This is the new brew to be included in the Holiday Mix-Pack. Also there were Old Fezziwig (a very good beer IMO), Winter Lager (another great one), and a big favorite for everyone... Cranberry "Lambic". lol I don't know if they are including this one in the Holiday Pack, but I didn't think that it was horrible. This place has a pretty good selection of different craft beers, Macros, wine and liquor. Service was fine and price was around what you would pay elsewhere.

If only the parking lot exit was at a traffic light.
