Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and slightly spicy with some nutmeg and light cinnamon notes. Taste has some pumpkin pie spices, some tartness and fermented fruit notes, dusty malts and booze towards the finish. Light to medium body with medium plus carbonation. Overall it's quite off, needs some tweaking.

this is a crazy beer, and rare too from what i gather. dont know how back country pizza in boulder gets this stuff, but somehow they do. its unique, pumpkin and spice saison, but its not my favorite overall. it tastes a little old, maybe he has been holding this one for awhile, tough to say. orange and foggy in color, nice inch of airy white head but its gone as soon as i blink and the beer is flat. minimal on the squash and pumpkins for a beer in this style, and strong too, although the alcohol doesnt influence this much. strange flavor, not starchy or tasting much like the squash, which i want more of and missing. the spices are appreciably subtle though, hints of vanilla and mace, not much more, maybe indian cardamom in the finish, but it could just as well all be from the saison yeast strain and some oxidation. if this had more carbonation and life to it i would like it better, but its subtle use of pumpkin and spices is intriguing to me, so obviously not american, i like it a lot in that way, but age may have taken its toll here. good not great, drinkable enough at its strength, but a little thin and tangy for what it is. nothing like it out there though, thats for sure...

Light, hazy orange color. Smells of tart fruit and a little spice. Taste has a good deal of tartness with the pumpkin present as well as just a bit of spice. A very unique beer I'm glad to have had the opportunity to try.

Slightly copper orange body with decent head and lace.
Strong, funky smell that has spices to it as well as hints of pumpkin and sugary sweetness.
Really smooth, clean beer, surprised me a little, has this sweetness from pumpkin or cinnamon (something akin to pumpkin beers) as well a spicy edge and even at times a slightly acidic sour sharpness.
All of these components are nicely blended, avoiding a mess if they weren't, and the alcohol is well-hidden.
A unique beer that holds its own and is a must try.
