I never had the old version so I can't compare, but this is definitely a solid NEIPA. While it isn't as good as TrailBlazer or some of the other solid CT beers of this style, it certainly is a beer worth picking up. Pours cloudy with light tropical scents which flows to the taste, of which there are hints of citrus. Overall, a beer worth picking up and I'm hoping once they open their new facility they keep churning out new beers.

Hard work is to be rewarded, Pioneer Brewerys ipa deserve it in droves. Look no further than you backyard ct for an awesome well-balanced and hop forward ipa with a smooth malt base to match. Pioneer's ipa is as smooth and drinkable as you would want any ipa to be with just the right bitterness with a good dose for floral, piney and citrusy hop flavor to match. I can't say enough good things about this beer brewed right in my backyard, better than almost any other ct brewed ipa i've tried save firefly hallow cone flakes. it's amazing, it's in a black 16oz can with a yellow sub and a red ribbon logo. I went into this one with low expectations and was more than pleasantly surprised, i will be seeking out sixers of this one. Remember! drink fresh, drink local. Piorneer Beer company IPA is the de facto standard for CT ipas. Drink one and have a zen moment, I wish you the best and peace everyone!!
