10 oz can dated 9/10. Take a plane and climb into a thick dark gold cloud I'd call it a Hop Whammy. Great tasting smooth hop IPA. Love local product that our brewers are now using. I hope this one comes back again next season. Get it while you here.

Another great beer! Opaque pale gold with a coupla fingers of white head on top... Canned 9/21/18 and featuring Cascade and Galaxy hops - wet-hopped - this is an excellent, fresh-tasting amalgam of clean pine and tangy pith... The pithiness is suggestive of grapefruit, with some hints of lime sharpening the edges, and a fresh breath of pine airing the whole affair out... Light-medium body-weight and feel, with ample carbonation, a solid bitterness and a subdued sweetness... Easily the type of beer you stick with all night...

Poured from a 16 oz can into a tulip glass.

Pours a hazy golden orange color with a finger of effervescent white head. The head is gone in a hurry, leaving a ring of lacing as it settles into a thin sheet.

The aroma brings notes of lime, grapefruit and pineapple. There's a sweet caramel note on the back. A bit muted but pleasant.

The flavor brings loads of pineapple and key lime pie, followed by some citrus and sweet malt. Finishes faintly bitter, earthy and piney.

The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Soft, creamy and smooth.

Overall, a good, well-balanced IPA that is full of tropical and citrus fruit flavors with plenty of malt to back them up.

This is my first beer from Connecticut Valley Brewing, and it's also my first wet hop...and, I have to say, it was well worth the trip.
The brewery, which looked brand new (taproom still a few weeks away from going live) told me right away, that they mean business.
As for the beer, it has all the characteristics of a true NEIPA, especially, a nice burnt orange haze, wonderful fresh hoppy scent, casual head, decent lacing, and a very smooth, soft, lush, taste. The Cascade hops, which I was told (when I asked) were fresh picked in Litchfield, CT, and really complimented the Galaxy hops...fantastic combination.
And, hey, the can is cool, too.
Dude, if you haven't grabbed a pack of this by now, then you'll probably have to wait until next Fall, but make a mental note, and get in on this quick in 2018...you'll be glad you did.

This beers is truly exceptional, all around. It has a color reminiscent of peaches and a slightly peachy taste from the fruity body of the fresh terpenes in the wet hops. The Citra hops add to the fruity flavor while still adding the familiar bitterness of a strong IPA. It goes down almost eerily smooth, but at 7.0% it's not going to knock you out even if you chug it a bit. Unfortunately, if you haven't gotten this year, you will probably be waiting to next September.
