16oz can served in a pint glass. 06/25/18.

Pours moderately hazy, yellow-bronze, big head that fades moderately slowly to a medium head with some clumpy lacing. Smell is piney juicy.

Taste is more of the same. Stronger lemon specifically.

Mouthfeel is light and dry. Overall, good beer.

My third Connecticut Valley brew (Into the Woods, Trailblazer)... Features Amarillo, Columbus, and Simcoe hops... Canned 6/9/18...

Poured pale gold and hazy with a finger or two of white foam into a nonic pint... Presents a really smooth blend of juicy grapefruit (without much pucker) and pale melon (faintly sweet, clean and fresh), with fragrant floral and citrus notes... Little bit of earthy underbelly to round it out... Very soft, amply carbonated, mildly sweet, mildly bitter... One of those really "easy to drink"beers...

From the can, it pours a hazy amber with a modest head, soon diminishing to nothing - even poured slightly warm as this one was. Some grapefruit in the nose. The mouth gets a light grapefruit taste, with a malt background. Nice!

A: The beer is hazy yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high white head.
S: Light to moderate aromas of grapefruit are present in the nose along with notes of honeydew melon, the latter of which gets stronger as the beer warms up.
T: The taste has flavors of honeydew melons along with notes of orange citrus and hints of grapefruit. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and slightly crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found this IPA to be an interesting change of pace. The melon flavors were of particular interest.

A Fantastic Voyage - CT Valley
NE IPA - 6.5% abv
Canned 3/14/18 (46 days ago)
Purchased for $5.49 at Monde Market

L - 1-finger dense white head atop a translucent orange body.

S - citrus, pineapple, sugar cane, bubblegum.

T - semisweet orange and grapefruit to start. Some tropical fruits, a little dankness. Sweet bubblegum middle, with a tiny pine presence. Low bitterness, no booziness.

F - medium body and carb.

O - sweetness dominates in this one. Wish the hops were more forward.

16oz can. Pours a slightly hazy brownish good color with an inch of head. The aroma is floral and citrus hops with maybe a hint of sweet pine. Almost has a Hi Chew mango smell to it. The taste is tangerine, mango, melon, floral hops and pine. The malt flavor comes out more towards the end. Tangerine and melon finish. Creamy mouthfeel with low carbonation. Dry. Decent IPA I’d buy again.
