Great location by the minor league ball park in Bricktown. My husband and I visited on a quiet Saturday afternoon. Various games were tuned in and we picked a spot at the bar facing the huge multi screen tv. The bartender was knowledgeable and service was great. Beers were two bucks. My only complaint was being served a frosted glass. Well, I don't like ice in my beer.

As far as the beers go, the best was a specialty beer, called Oak Aged IPA. I was pretty impressed. IPA is my favorite beer and this was super hoppy and had a nice balance to it. A little toasty, but not overly so. Their regular IPA was ok, but seemed a little weak after the Oak Aged. We sampled the stout and were quite disappointed. Maybe because beer brewed in OK can be no more than 3.2 %. I guess the fermentation process is stopped too early for those nice malty flavors to really develop. It tasted thin and watery.

Moving to the food menu, I had a marinated sirloin that was cooked perfectly. My husband's ribs were ok, but nothing special. The prices were very reasonable. By the time we were ready to leave, the place was really getting busy, including the patio area overlooking the ball field. A plus is that no smoking is allowed inside. I would definitely come back next time we're in OKC.

It's become an end of summer tradition to go to a Redhawks (OKC's minor league team) game and eat at coaches each summer with my family and friends. We meet up here for some good eats and a night of baseball.

As for the craft brews, I personally like the Sooner Stout and the IPA. While neither one of these knock it out of the park, they're both good for a singe or a double.

The food is good and filling, with a typical array of pizza, ribs, burgers, chicken and sandwiches. I always get the BBQ combo platter and have a couple of brews to get me ready for the ballgame, where I grab some good Boulevard brews and settle in for a nice nite of baseball.

The service is always exceptional, and you would have to be pretty particular to find serious fault with anything about this place. There are many places to choose from to eat in Bricktown, but if you're going to a Redhawks game, Coaches is very convenient, and works well if you have group of people you need to please.

Located above the left field of Bricktown Ballpark (“The Brick”), one is faced with the option of ascending a steep set of steps or cheating on the elevator. Hey, I’m a tough guy, seasoned from weeks of lugging a suitcase around. I flew up those steps in the oppressive heat like Rocky Balboa going up the steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. I was fully ready for a beer when I reached the top, though.

I passed through a vestibule and the maitre d’ station was straight ahead. The washrooms were off to the left, just past the m.d.s. The dark-marble topped bar was accessible by continuing straight back, past restaurant seating to the right. The bar was a “U”-shape with the taps on an island in the middle. They had a patio area but it was marked for use during games by reservation only. There was lots of sports memorabilia throughout, especially relating to hometown heroes like Mickey Mantle and Terrell Owens; to local teams in the Big 12, especially OU and Barry Switzer; and to general stars just to give it that sports bar atmosphere. The waitstaff was both friendly and helpful.

As to the beer – they are made at a sister location in Norman, Oklahoma and brought in by keg for use at this location. They had six available when I visited: Harvester Wheat, which was kind of bland; Railyard Amber, which was so-so; Downtown Brown, which was also so-so; Sooner Stout, which was okay, but not what I wanted on a hot day; and IPA and English-style ESB, both of which were winners. All of them passed the Nebraska Test for clarity.

This joint is in Oklahoma City's Bricktown area, which is the towns renovated warehouse district just east of downtown. This fairly young restruant over looks the towns minor league baseball stadium. An outside patio allows views of the game as do many inside booths next to the plentiful windows.
This is a very nice ,clean place with a " U " shaped bar surrounded on three sides by restruant seating.
Most of the time there is plentiful seating available but during the summer months and baseball games in particular seating is scarce.
There are half a dozen or so Coach's beers on tap here which are brewed in nearby Norman. A great happy hour will buy you a pint for a dollar. All the beers are brewed to 3.2% abw.
The food is pretty decent here with a Red Robin style selections.
This place and the nearby Bricktown brewery are two of only a handfull of brewpubs in the entire state .

Fresh craft beers, pizza , and a baseball game, you can't beat that !
