Presentation: A Bomber so graciously supplied by RoyalT who attended the excellent 5-star Beer Tasting held last night over at fellow So. Cal. BA, xlperros house.
Appearance: Coppery gold, quite the classic IPA look. Dirty white head was quite expansive when poured, settled to a crusty mass, but it hung around for the duration of the drink.
Nose: Floral and Fauna and Tonnes (thats metric ones) of Hops. Hops are positively flowing out of the glass in this one deep breath marvelous.
Taste: Superb, the malts are sweet in character which helps to add really good balance to incredibly biting citric hops in the finish. Floral, fresh and spicy, the hoppiness changes from start to finish, but it is always clean. Spicy hops are very astringent and remain in the mouth for a very long time, which was great because the Bomber we had was soon shared between us.
Mouthfeel: Solid fruity hoppiness. Sweet malts in the mouth eventually fade into a very clean citric dry bitter finish that puckers at times, and stays in the mouth for some time. I enjoyed the after-taste of this IPA very much.
Drinkability: I wish we would have had some more bottles of this baby, it is *very* drinkable for an IPA, with its perfect dry hoppy body, and 6.6% ABV, it is a well-balanced quaffer.
Overall: It seems ironic that the previous Review is that of RoyalTs, for during the beer tasting at xlperros house, Rick (RoyalT) explained how he came to get to visit this Brewery and oozed praise for this beer. It was certainly a welcome addition to the Beer Menu and went well with xlperros knock-out home-made beer cheese and crackers. An extremely nice IPA which, even with all of the other great beers that we had during the beer tasting, was a real winner on the night. Cant wait for the day we can get this in So.Cal. and the LA area.

A great Northwest IPA, just as the bottle stated. Big earthy and citrusy hops with a clean, dry and nutty malt backbone from a clean yet slightly tart yeast character. Bright gold with a big, rocky white head leaves globs of lacing on the glass make for quite the appearance as well. Exactly the kind of IPA I want while I am in the Northwest.

I've drank this beer numerous times over the years.. I've always like it but have to disagree that it is world class or even exceptional especially compared to Inversion IPA the same class but a far better IPA IMHO. I bought a pony of this and enjoyed it last year.
Appearance: Pours out golden, probably not filtered.. decent head
Smell: nice dry hopped aroma
tasted: decent hop and malt balance
mouth feel: decent, nothing special but average for the variety.

A- Clear, amber colored with no haze. Nice foamy head about one finger that holds on pretty well. Very nice lacing, forms rings.
S- Not very fragrant. Almost smells like a lager.
T- As a single IPA I must say this thing tastes great. Very nicely balanced beer here. Hop forward, pine resin, PNW, and then a nice malt back, some red apple and even a little pepper in the finish.
M- Crisp. Like I said before, very balanced and really drinkable. Good IPA carbonation and just a hint of that IPA tongue burn.
O- Stoked to get this awesome PNW IPA extra. Glad I got to try it, and would drink it again if available.
