A bucket-list destination, being Greg Noonan's brewhouse and where John Kimmich earned his spurs. Sadly, the beers there were nothing special the three times I've visited, although the food was excellent pub fare.

Went here first, as they open early. Disappointed. Generic brews all around. Classic bar interior, patio on city sidewalk. Service was Good, quality of beer not. This is an easy skip unless you need the ticks.

This was a busy place on a Sunday afternoon but the wait was short. Approximately ten beers were on tap. The variety was decent and most were true to the expectation.
The food was typical pub grub -- burgers, wings, nachos, etc. Service was friendly but the food was mediocre.

What I had: Grand Slam Baseball Ale, Karlswalde Russian Imperial Stout, and Bombay Grab IPA on tap, several glasses of Ca’ del Sarto Pinot Grigio for my girl.
What I liked: Intimate pub atmosphere, super friendly bartender, solid range of styles on offer, beers are average to good in quality, cheap prices ($3.50-$4.50 pints), had a nice chat with one of the patrons.
What I disliked: None of the beers blew me away, no bottles or guest taps from what I could tell, server was pleasant but didn’t seem to know much about the beers.
Would I go back? Yes. This place is too much fun to pass up. It’s not a beer geek haven, per se, but it’s certainly worth a visit if you find yourself in Burlington.

A really nice restaurant. He food was excellent and the service was the same. Their beers are ok, maybe this rating is unfair do to all the word class breweries in the area.

I believe this to be the very first (modern era) brewery in Vermont. It's just an old style pub and brewery. Good pub food, excellent outdoor seating spot. Inside is vast and historic feeling. My kinda vibe!!

Great location downtown and a really good option if you're looking for outdoor seating. The selection is alright, but the beers themselves can't really complete with those on offer just down the way at American Flatbread (and the same can be said of their food). Still, worth visiting for the convenience and location.

Another old school styled pub, lots of TV's all around the place. Lighting is a bit lower than expected but that didn't bother me too much. What makes this place nice to go back to when I can is being able always have stellar conversations with the bartenders. Yes, all of them - I've never had one complaint about any of them. Fantastic brewpub, maybe their beer style isn't exactly "modernized" for a lot of people, but give them a chance. Their food is quite good too.

The Vermont Pub & Brewery is showing it's age. It's a little worn, and it's a little dated, but I guess to a certain extent that's comfortable. When I first stepped in I didn't think I'd stay, but halfway through my visit I'd thought I might stay all day!
The beers are always changing, and the food is reasonably priced, solid pub fare. If you're in the area and you've got time I'd certainly recommend it.

Dark-wooded bar in the heart of Burlington. One of the original brewpubs still operating in the US. Vibe is more bar-like and old school than what you see nowadays for brewpubs. A bit dated and dingy, lots of TVs. Nice bar on the patio side was nice when it got cooler out.
Service was normal and friendly, beers seemed fresh and reasonably priced. They focus more on the English Ale side of things, so lots of malty treats for those looking to escape the hop overload of the current VT beer scene. All in all a cool bar, maybe stop in if you have the time.

Went here on vacation with the family. The pub is nicely located in downtown Burlington with plenty of street parking if you can find it. There is an outdoor deck area to eat, but we ate inside. A two sided bar is to the right of you when you enter with dining tables in the bar area, next to it, and in a small sun-room. General pub atmosphere that is both family friendly but also a nice place to hang out.
Service was quite good and knowledgeable. Our waitress was very attentive and knew details to the beers I wanted to try. Our food came promptly, which was surprising since it was lunch time. Nevertheless, both of our meals were very good (I had the Reuben sandwich). Beer selection seemed limited to just what they brew. What I tried on my sampler was a wide range of styles and qualities. I am not too certain if they served any other beers at the place, so if you want to try the pub, be cognizant on their beer focus.
Overall, a nice atmosphere, good service and food, with unique craft beers at the place.

VPB used to be one of my favorites while at UVM. The beer and the food are priced right.
