Batch 009

A - Pours a hazy straw colored yellow with thin head that fades away rather quickly leaving a perimeter lacing ring.

S - Subtle herbs, grass, lemon, light citrus.

T - Follows the nose. Lemon and grass up front followed by a semi-dry lingering finish.

M - Light bodied with light carbonation.

O - Very easy drinking blonde. Glad I tried this but not a beer I would seek out. A bit overpriced for what you get in my opinion but another quality beer by RR.

750ml corked and caged bottle poured into a Duvel tulip glass.

A- Pours a golden orange color with a large creamy off-white head that possesses amazing retention and stick.

S- The aroma is light and fruity with hints of spices and yeast.

T- The taste is pale malts with some faint citrus with hints of funk and yeast.

M- The mouthfeel is light bodied with a high amount of carbonation. Very prickly on the tongue.

D- This beer is extremely refreshing and highly drinkable at 5% ABV. No problem at all to finish off the bottle.

Overall, Redemption is another fantastic brew from Russian River. I am falling in love with this amazing brewery.

The beer pours is a beautiful, effervescent, straw golden color with a substantial frothy head and great retention. Redemption smells of lemon and spices. The taste is bitter up front and spicy. There are some mild citrus notes and the finish is dry. The mouthfeel is creamy and the beer is well carbonated.

Batch 009

Pours a light golden yellow with a 1/4 inch of foam that quickly faded to a layer of fine bubbles. Aroma is light bready grains, cloves and a hint of citrus. Very faint aroma overall. The taste is big lemon zest, clove pepper and slight grains. Very light bodied and crisp mouthfeel. Nicely carbonated and very easy to drink. This could be a nice hot weather beer. Very enjoyable

Poured from a 375ml bottle (bottled on 12Jun15) into a tulip.
LOOK: Pours with a half finger's worth of white foam (I wasn't expecting a big head because I had to pour it gently as to not disturb the yeast settlement at the bottom of the bottle) that cuts down to a line after 30 seconds. Rising bubbles are small and subtle. Pale yellow in color with an extreme amount of cloudiness. Lacing is thin and subtle, but stays on the glass.
SMELL: Has mild aromas of bananas, pears, white grapes, lemon zest, and cloves that meet with subtle pale malt aromas and hints of sour yeast.
TASTE: Strong lemon zest flavors and mild pear and white grape enter initially and are immediately followed by subtle banana and clove flavors. Mild sour yeast continue the taste symphony as banana and clove flavors fade to subtle. Finally, mild spicy hops (weren't detected in the aroma) and hints of pale malts enter as all previous flavors decrease a notch in strength.
FEEL: Light-bodied and highly carbonated. Goes down a little rough due to the carbonation. Finishes with a beautiful crispness.
NOTE: A elegantly complex brew. I loved it.

pours a crystal clear neon yellow with a beautiful pure white head that sticks around forever and leaves artwork behind on the glass.

definitely yeasty, with some light bread aromas and some slight mustiness but not quite tartness. some light fruitiness and pilsner malts.

flavor is fruity, musty, and grainy with some lemon pepper and tartness. not quite puckering but definitely a bit tart. aftertaste is a bit herbal.

rather light bodied yet velvety with slightly prickly carbonation.

drinks rather well. a bit more tartness would be welcome, though this drinks fine as is. Russian River continues to impress.

Redemption pours a cloudy yellow with a small, thin white head. The foam fades quickly to a thin sheet leaving minimal lacing.

The aroma has notes of orange citrus, wheat and lemon rind.

Each sip of this medium bodied beer is smooth and creamy. The flavor is light wheat, lemon rind and a touch of Belgian spice. It finishes dry and lightly tart.

Overall this is a very drinkable, smooth and creamy beer. Very pleasant.

(on tap at Russian River, Apr 2013)

A: cream yellow hue with a Kräusen-like foam top.... notable lasting haze.... more of a blonde ale than a "pale".... a few strands of lace stuck at the top of the glass.... love those blondes...

S: doughy, lemon peel yeast aromas hit first... some pale malt seems to slowly poke through... pretty straight-forward, though, like the rest of the beer

T: balanced between butter cookie dough malt and softly spicy banana esters.... delicate overall.... fruit and malt accentuates in the finish, but still mild and dainty

M: sort of a fluffy, open texture across the palate - low gravity + ample carbonation?.... a smooth silky flow establishes itself once the initial head dies away.... quite a light feel, though "effervescent" I'd call it not

O: a solid, pan-appealing blonde ale... nice "session" opener
