Brown Ale aged in used Pinot Noir barrels from local Sonoma County wineries. It is aged for about 12 months with sour cherries, brettanomyces, lactobacillus, and pediococcus added to each barrel. Appearance – Pours a clear amber red color with a nice head and good lacing that quickly runs back into the glass.

Smell – Sour cherry, vinegar, oak, and pinot. It’s a really nice smell.

Taste – The first thing I notice is that it’s not overly sour (I’m not a fan of super sour beer). Tastes of pinot, vinegar, and oak. A really good sour!

Mouthfeel – Good carbonation, dry, not too sour, with a pleasant funky aftertaste.

Drinkability – I’m generally not a huge fan of sours, but this is an exceptional one to me.
