On tap at the brewery 11/15 served into a tulip. Notes written on a coaster.

Appearance - Beautiful hazy golden with very little head.

Smell - Hoppy and yeasty banana with some cloves. It's up on the blackboard as a hoppy belgian blonde. Smells like one!

Taste - Bitter hops melt away to smooth orange peels and lemon citrus zest. Grain and bread also gets mixed in with lots of great hoppy carbonated bubbles. Grapefruit like citrus and sourness as if you have freshly squeezed ruby red and yellow grapefruits in your mouth.

Mouthfeel - Slightly bitter, like a combination of Damnation and a less sour Temptation.

Overall - Delicious. I love when this is on tap here. It's also hard to beat the name.

Might as well go ahead and write review #1500 up in here with something I really looked forward to.

Cloudy yellow pour, super big haze, soft white head. Super belgianesque yeast aroma, this one leans way over the pond for its aroma, don't get the typical Russian River hop aromas in this ipa, its belgo + sugar all over.

The yeast keeps dominating the flavor profile. So dominated by everything about it, coriander, clove, mild banana, even a wheat kind of flavor. Nowhere typical rr hopping.

Really wasn't my thing, even if I can tell it is still very well made.

On tap last week at Magnolia, San Francisco

In my quest to drink as many Belgian IPAs as I can, I was ecstatic to see that Magnolia had one of my favorite brewery's stab at it.

Pour a crisp pale yellow. Thick white finger head. Aroma is as I like - thick Belgian sugars and American hop bouquet. The yeasty sweetness of the Belgian yeast hits the palate first and moves on the hop sweetness to the biting bitter strength end toward the back of the mouth.

I love this style and this is a fine example of it.

Slightly hazy straw color with white head. Aroma has really nice stonefruit yeast esters. Taste starts with grass, a bit of lime, melon, really estery but somehow clean and fresh. Light body with high effervescence but also feels quite soft on the palate. This is a great, easy drinking belgian style ale.
