375ml of the second batch, temptation base. Bright red, almost fuschia color, pink head that disappeared quick. Looks like a Kriek. The smell was funky, sort of fecal like manure, a hint of fruit. Flavor was sour, acidic, sharp fruit but not a distinct raspberry flavor. Overall, a good beer but not one of Russian River's best. I'd like to have tried the beatification version so hopefully that make that again.

2012 vintage tasted in 2015

A — Pours a really bright and rich looking red into the glass, some bright red hues around the edges, overall it is clear with the slightest bit of haze. Puffy white head disappears quickly, little to no lacing.

S — Smells of rich raspberries and tart cherries, very fresh and tart overall, little bit of a buttery oak balance.

T — Tastes much like the nose, lots of big and sour cherries and lots of raspberry representation, bit of a lacto sourness and sharpness.

M — Medium bodied, long enough finish to it.

O — Great overall, perhaps not quite as complex as some of their other offerings but still great.

Bottle shared by Starrdog, thanks.

Beer is pink, very pink, with a pinkish white head of small bubbles, low retention, moderate carbonation, some lacing.

Creamy, strong raspberry, mild acetic, lactic, nice.

Beer is light, airy on the palate, mildly sweet, acetic bite, strong raspberry, overall a nice little beer. I'd have it again.

Bottle pour at Woodshop 8 held at The Hermosillo in Los Angeles, CA.

2013 vintage.

Pours a hazy light red with a foamy reddish-white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is sour and tart with malt, raspberry, and acidic aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour and tart raspberry flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty but has a slightly better sour raspberry quality in the aroma.
