Light orange and yellow, clarity for days, full inch of small bubbled, virgin white head almost exceeding the one inch range. Aroma was soft simcoe, lots of pine.

You've been here before, a dry light, barely toasted pale malt body, enormous flavorful hops, light mouthfeel, crisp finish, easy to drink, little to no sign of alcohol anywhere. Fruity, pineapple, apple, and pine. A treat for sure.

Had poured on tap at russian river. Very solid APA with interesting pine notes blend well with citrus undertones....they should bottle this as a scent for candles / house. Another really good beer from rrbc

This is flat-out awesome! I have a new favorite Pale Ale (sorry FW Pale 31).

I first tried this in one of the RR flights. Seriously...I would even take this over PTE in a heartbeat (and did for an extra 2 pints on my B-day)!

Its light, easy, and packs the hops in both aroma aroma and flavor.

Summed up?

Stunning Simcoe Pale Ale! I wish this was bottled regularly like Pliny....if so I would buy a bunch!

Poured on tap at RRBC. Pours a nice clear yellow/amber color white a thick white head leading to considerable lacing. Smells great. Pine and citrus hop aromas. Not yet to the level of an IPA, but definitely more than your average APA. Good taste brought on by the hops. Nice mellow bitterness and citrus flavors. Bitterness hangs around longer than most for a nice, smooth, and dry mouthfeel. Overall a nice hoppy APA and a very good beer.

On-tap at Russian River Brewing Company, Santa Rosa, CA

A: The beer is clear amber yellow in color and has a moderate to high amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high off white head that has excellent retention properties, consistently leaving a short head covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of citrusy hops are present in the nose—grapefruit seems to stand out in particular.
T: The taste is nearly a mirror image of the smell and is packed with citrusy flavors—grapefruit and oranges stand out in particular—and has a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels a bit shy of being medium-bodied and crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very easy to drink and is packed with lots of hop aromas and flavors without being overly heavy on the palate.

Serving type: on-tap

Very nice Hoppy APA! Had this on tap at the source and loved it! Would have had several but I was driving :). Nice clean crisp hop character with a slight malt backbone

Growler pour into Sierra Nevada IPA glass

L-Light golden pale body, bone white frothy head. Lots of lacing.

S-Semi sweet melon/berry from the Simcoe, hints of pine.

T-Crisp dry finish, ample bitterness. Creamy smoothness in the mid palate.

F-Smooth up front, dry and bitter finish. Enjoyable lingering bitterness.

Overall-Absolutely killer pale ale, bordering on IPA status. Very sessionable, never disappoints. One of my personal favorites
