On tap at Tiger! Tiger! in San Diego. Lovely fragrant nose with pine and flowery scents. A handsome foam in the small tulip. Light body, tangy, and pleasantly sudsy in the mouth.

The aromatics are quite sensual as you sip. Moderately bitter but it's more about the spicy and tangy flavors. A great showcase for hops in the nicest way. I'm a believer in Simcoe after this, but I don't believe I've ever tasted a beer where it is used with such refinement.

This is a truly sippable, rather than gulpable, Pale Ale. I was glad to have the chance to try this, and it's great to taste a less intense yet pleasurable beer than their usual over-hopped IPAs .

Had never had this beer before, so was excited to see it on tap at Beachwood Long Beach.

Appearance: Pours out a clear, warm honey color. About 1/2" of white head to start, which has decent retention and lacing. Very nice color on this.

Smell: Caramel malts and aromatic hops. Citrus, a bit of mango, as well as some pine and a touch of dankness. Very well balanced it seems, not overly malty or hoppy.

Taste: Nice caramel malt backbone up front, with citrus, orange rind, mango, and pine. Overall I would call the hop flavors balanced and rather subtle. Nothing overly hoppy or bitter which is a nice change of pace.

Mouthfeel/Overall: Light/medium body with low-ish carbonation. Mouthfeel seems about right, maybe could use a little more carbonation for me. Drinks about to its ABV. Overall, a really nice pale ale that I would have again. Good one.

The beer comes in a golden straw color.

The aroma is extremely hoppy with a really grainy biscuity malt along with grass, grapefruit and lemon.

The flavor follows with huge grapefruit, bright lemon, pine, and floral notes. it's very crisp with a gentle bitterness on the end.

This really pushes IPA and surely is a Russian River beer with huge amount of hops. It really has tons of flavor at this ABV.
