A: Dark with a hint of red when held to light. Nice tan head which disappears slowly.
S: Cocoa, coffee beans, and barley. Very pleasant, what you'd expect from a porter.
T: Strong coffee taste, not as strong cocoa taste. There's something sweet in there that isn't the cocoa, but I can't figure out what it is. It's lighter than it appears as well.
M: Quite smooth.
D: Easily drinkable. Good taste with lighter than expected body.
Overall: Red Brick Porter was good, but it didn't knock my socks off. I thought it was a good representation of a porter, and the coffee flavor was quite nice. The body was lighter than expected, but it made the beer easier to go down. Overall, not bad at all, but nothing spectacular either.
