Notes:
It’s Hoppier then a bullfrog with a stubbed toe: Yup, you read correctly. Red Brick now has a year round IPA called HopLanta! Look for HopLanta in 1/2 barrels, 1/6 barrels and 6 packs. Be sure to look for it in stores and restaurants near you!

Pours a chill hazed deep gold/pale amber producing 1.5 fingers of white, foamy, short-lived head that leaves a pasty wash and rings of splotchy lace. Aroma is floral/herbal, grapefruit, tropical fruit and pine in a caramel malt background. Taste is caramel malt and dough balanced with herbal, grapefruit and a tropical fruit hint. Starts with a nice caramel malt/hop balance but finishes peppery, bitter and dry. Aftertaste is herbal & pine with an astringent, dry and lasting bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation, smooth, thinly creamy and drive with a slight prickle. Nice but very similar to dozens of other American IPAs. Doesn't really have anything to set it apart. Good but not great.

I am trying a can of this beer that was brought by my bestie to Grayton beach, FL whilst there for vacation. It poured a clear golden with thin white head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had pine bitterness and heavy malt base. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation . Overall its a decent beer.

Pretty nice. The smell is the best part of it for sure and after that it’s pretty standard across the board, nothing special. I would probably get again.

Appearance - Pours cloudy orange color with thick white head that settles to a thick cap.
Aroma - Lots of lemon, malts, caramel, grains and citrus peel.
Taste - Malts, citrus peel, orange and grapefruit.
Feel - Medium bodied decent carbonation probably a little too dry and bitter.
Overall - about an average IPA no strong flavors sort of muddled still an ok IPA.

From the can, it pours an unsurprisingly hazy amber with a nice head that soon reduces to a thin layer. Lacing as you drink - lots of it. Some hops in the nose and some, pleasantly, in the mouth. Nice east coast IPA.

Hoplanta is a nice-looking IPA: a giant pebbly off-white head sits atop a very slightly hazy, effervescent golden body, leaving nice sticky bands and ladders of lacing. The nose is big: juicy pineapple with more subtle bright grapefruit and hints of sweet florals, topped by slight alcohol overtones. Up front, the palate is medium-bitter pine with hints of citrus, caramel and IPA soapiness; mid-palate the hop flavor opens up and shows the pineapple from the nose, and the malt comes into its own: the caramel hints expand to a definite caramel character that is joined by a modest bittersweet nuttiness and a very prominent bready malt foundation. Perceived bitterness decreases to light-for-style. The finish is a modest hit of nutty caramel, followed by the onset of a modest, slightly grassy pine bitterness that lasts for a good while. Retrogustative olfaction is grassy pineapple. Mouthfeel is commensurate with the light-medium body, and is slightly astringent; the texture is medium-peppery from the well-expressed carbonation, and is slightly creamy but also slightly watery on the back end.
