Poured into an IPA glass. The liquid is a dark copper-amber color, and has some nice little floaties suspended in it. Hopefully those are hop particles.... The pour produces a nice-sized head with good retention and lacing.

Aroma is hops with a noticeable malt backbone. Hops are piney and citrusy, and I feel like there's a bit of resin in there. The malts are bready and lightly toasted. It smells nice and balanced, which is good, but there's nothing in the aroma that really grabs me.

Flavor follows the nose. There are some piney and citrusy hop flavors, and some nice bready malt, but nothing particularly memorable. If I didn't know better, I would think that maybe it was old, because there's no bottle-dating and the hops are pretty muted, but I got this bottle just after they changed the label, so I'm sure it was bottled in the past two weeks.

Mouthfeel is slightly thick, with a lot of carbonation. Tiny bit of lingering bitterness.

Overall, it's drinkable, but not one that I'd probably ever choose again. I think this recipe is pretty old, and I have to admit that I'm partial to the newer, hipper IPAs, so maybe it's just personal taste...

On tap at the brewery.
A clear amber ale with a durable bone-colored head. Excellent lacing.

Feel: Relatively smooth up front with a crisp, dry finish.

Bitterness kicks up in the finish and lingers on in the grapefruit-rind flavored aftertaste. Some malt flavor with little [it seems] balancing sweetness.

O: a fine-looking, West Coast style IPA.

Pours a hazy murky amber color with a cream colored head that falls fairly fast.

Aroma is over ripe fruit, some mango touches of pine needles decent caramel malty base or might be some of the fruit notes masquerading.

Taste is like the nose citrus notes deep and mingled in with caramel malts. Finish is light pine and dank musty hops or what i refer to as tobacco notes has a light lingering bitter resin finish. Not a bad little IPA defiantly better then there amber which is about average at best. But not something worth searching out either. Some reason liking the maltier not as bright hoppy IPA's some now.

Mouthfeel is nice a solid medium with pretty mellow carbonation.

Overall is not bad, but not what I would go to if I was in Atlanta either. But if you want a kick your teeth in hop bomb this will not be your cup of tea so to speak.
