This place is just off Main St in Carrboro...about a block past Greensboro St. There is limited parking around this area, so good luck finding it depending on the time of day.
There are two floors to the restaurant. Both floors are pretty well kept, well lit (but not so bright either), and not very smoky. Downstairs you order Mexican style food...sort of a cantina. Pretty good. Upstairs you have a bar with limited selection...but it is pretty inexpensive. Drafts are all $2 the night I went. I believe they had 5 total still. 3 were the usual suspects, but the 4th and 5th were Carolina Brewery's Oatmeal Porter and IPA. I guess they rotate out these based 2 periodically.
The beer I had was in fine condition and served in a non-frosted glass. The service overall was just okay. The bartender was friendly, but not worth going out of your way to visit because of. Not a bad place to visit for the food, and maybe try one of the two beers they offer.

The Armadillo Grill is a tex-mex joint. You order your food from a menu at the counter and within a few minutes it's ready. They pride themselves on their freshness. And intentionally because of this, none of their locations have freezers.
The food is good, if you like tacos and nachos and burritos (who doesn't?). They have great homemade salsas and guacamole.
The bar is upstairs, and the draft selection is limited. I think there are 5 beers on tap. But for the past few months they've had 2 dollar Mash House pints everyday.
This place is definately worth a stop. If not for your guacamole craving, then for your love of cheaply poured Mash House!
