I'm not really sure what this beer is. On one hand, the page I'm on now says "Industrial IPA", but the beer I've got in my hand says "Imperial IPA". The cans look exactly the same except for that one difference. Rebranding? Looks like a fellow BA added "Imperial Pale Ale" to this brewery's page a couple months ago, but he forgot the "India" so he kinda fucked that one up. Oh well, this appears to be the correct beer, so here is where my review is.

L - dark orange. Slightly opaque.

S - huge pine. Sweet tropical fruits. Candied orange.

T - more of that malty candied citrus. Orangey hops with a killer piney bitterness on the finish. That, combined with the booze makes it almost overwhelming. Jet fuel. Lot of alcohol burn for 10%. 120 Minute goes down smoother than this.

F - low carbonation. Thick and syrupy.

O - packed full of flavor, this brew is unrelenting. A bit unrefined, but is sure to get you kicked up a few notches.

Called "Industrial IPA" at DeCicco's in Ardsley...same ABV/same style listed so I'll go with it...

$8.99 for a 32 ounce growler fill.

Pours a typical shade of amber, slight haze, light tan head, creamy and luxorious, slowly going to a thick film, collar and nice webs and bands of fine lace.

Pungent hopped up nose, fortified with pinapple, mango and more resiny hop notes.

Full throtle DIPA, they are not kidding! "Industrial" sums it up. On the palate it's crunching hops, waves of tropical and citric fruit...Lots and lots of ripe pineapple dominates. Lime soaked alcohol notes trying to peak through, but the hops/malt/fruit thingy keeps their tendrils mostly at bay.

Big bold and quite heady stuff, not for the faint of heart...bring on the stinky cheese and smoked meats, I love it...please make more of it...keg it, bottle it, distribute it...

Poured from 12 oz can dated 1/21/2016 into snifter.

Can says Imperial India Pale Ale versus Industrial, but based on other comments, I think this is the right entry for the review.

A: Somewhat cloudy golden orange with 1 finger white head that settled to a thin ring around the edge after a minute or two and leaving some moderate lacing.

S; Bready malts and candied oranges mixed with a punch of piney hops.

T: Sweet tangerines, mango, and biscuit malts balanced with piney bitterness. ABV is apparent but seems bring something to the table.

M: Medium to full body with fairly light carbonation. Finish features some hop bitterness and alcohol heat.

O: Very unique DIPA. My first brew from Kelso, and hopefully I will get the opportunity to try more from these guys!

12oz can brought from New York by @mr-jj. 08/17/2015 is stamped on the bottom. Served in a snifter. The can looks like the one pictured in this listing, but it says "Imperial" instead of "industrial".

Pours a pretty ruby-amber, clear, with a smallish head that lasts, and is supported by lots of carbonation. Smell is super orangey, very citrus. Can't get much besides that oranginess, although it smells good, it's a bit one-sided.

Taste is (thankfully) less orange-forward, although it's certainly present and noticeable. But, there's plenty of piney bitterness, a moderate bready malt characteristic. Nice, interesting beer.

Mouthfeel is creamy and nice. Overall, nice beer.

Poured from can to into pint glas
L- golden, slightly cloudy reasonable head, fades in about 2-3 minutes
S-malty, candy like, maple
T- well balanced, quick hop hit smothered in malt
Feel- effervescence spread it well on tongue
Overall- I would buy this again. Never heard of them until this beer. Read their bio online, good luck to them.

A - Yellowish-Orange with a little haziness

S - Smells very piney, and I got a very citrusy lemon note too

T - You can definitely tell this is a very strong beer right off the bat but it does a good job of not overpowering the beer. This is a piney, lemony DIPA that is very smooth for it being 11.5% abv. It's also very sweet.

O - This is a very good beer from Kelso that I hope they keep making. They nailed this one for sure and I definitely want more!

Thanks, cosmicevan!

A darker pour than expected: dark amber with dark orange (think scorched, fiery earth) edges along with a thin off-white head. There's not a lot of visible carbonation present. Eventually, the beer leaves the glass oily and spotted with stick. This looks potent and somewhat heavy in the glass.

Big aroma of pine and earth, along with a tinge of grapefruit rind, and sticky, caramel malts, and a warming alcohol presence.

The flavor follows the aroma, with notes of pine, earth, and some grapefruit leading the way. A somewhat sweet, malty DIPA, at least compared to the ones I most often drink, with some alcohol presence as well. Maltier than I'm accustomed to, with large amounts of hop bitterness. A very big, but balanced, DIPA.

Medium to full bodied for the style with low carbonation--somewhat oily.

Good enough, and I'm glad I got the chance to try it, but not one of my favorites.

Not really impressed with this one like I thought I'd be. The heavy astringent alcohol taste takes away from whatever good qualities it has.

I was interested in tasting this beer. I heard mixed reviews about it. But the idea of a cheesy / malty beer got the best of me.
No question that the heavy dosages of malt gave this one a real 'heavy' feel. I didnt detect anything in the nose, in fact, even in the taste. Except that it was big and bold, very big, almost too much.

A malt liquor had sex with an IPA and had a home birth c-section. Overall, I enjoyed the beer but the alcohol started to get very noticeable on the tongue towards the end.
