One of the easiest drinking beers I've had. A light straw appearance with a thin White head. Aroma is floral with hints of cough medicine. Tastes and feels crisp and lightm Again, nothing spectacular but kudos to the drinkabilty of this one.

Not sure if it is intentional but this beer tasted straight up sour and funky. Didn't like it at all. nb

Riverhorse consistently disappoints when it shows up in my WFM craft packs.
L: Clouded, shrouded yellow-gold... not much going on. Flat. Inert.
S: fermenting yeast, cider, old cider, and bread dough, sourdough, lemon zest...More than a bit stale.
T: As someone else wrote..." their yeast must be tainted by something growing in the firehouse"... funky, cidery, chalky, almost undrinkable. Used it to cook my sausages and peppers, then mixed it with piss and water to fertilize my flowers.
F: Cidery, thin flat hefeweizen. Unrecognizable.
O: Would not try again.
I got stuck with another of these in a craft pack. It's cider, not beer. Pass.

(batch 016 on neck label - poured into a tulip pint)
L: dried-dandelion yellow-gold... only the slightest haze... keeps a scummy white collar
S: fermenting bread dough, sourdough pancakes, lemon zest... has more of a blonde ale type of malt smell to it that a developed lacto presence
T: wow... their yeast must be tainted by something growing in the firehouse... old stone masonry and decaying dust leave a thin, but snuffing blanket over what could be a more vibrant tartness... granted, the lacto does outweigh the malt character... getting a creamy, floury starch thing in the middle... bit of a pedio(?) funk on the finish? - not supposed to be there, no?... this is a good bit on the heavy side for what it should be - just not delicate and spritzy
F: medium-light roundness to the body... dry enough finish... take away the mellow lacto tang/bite, and this flows like a flat hefeweizen
O: in a perfect world, these domestic breweries all in a tizzy over Berliner Weisse would have them as draft-only taproom/brewpub exclusives, brewing them over and over again, tweaking and tweaking them until their just right... has any of these people actually had an authentic German example of this style? or have they only read about it?

9/3...picked up this sixer at the brewery in Ewing NJ. Pours light clear gold, very little foam. Wheaty nose, yeast too. Slightt sour lemon citrus taste, holds, and then closes as a smooth citrus wheat. Tartness throughout. Perfect blend of a sour and a wheat. Quite good.
