Clear golden colored pour with a small white head. Light grainy aroma. Taste follows the nose with grain dominating the flavor initially. Can also taste a bit of grass and a light herbal hop bitterness. Light bodied and moderately carbonated. Finishes dry with a bit of cherry grain flavor.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a st. Arnold barrel beer glass.

Look is a clear orange Amber with a white one inch head.

Aroma is malty bread. Like a sweet English biscuit with a slight orange hop note.

Taste is a great balance of the malt and hops. Very dry astringent sweet biscuit malt with a nice earthy bitter slight citrus hop.

Overall a decent pale ale. Very good standard of the style. Not the most overly complicated beer but it's not supposed to be.

Really surprised by this pale ale. Very drinkable; really good balance of malt and hops. Doesn't stand out too far in any one way; definitely plays it safe. Nice golden color with good lacing. Could be a great fridge filler.

Received as a beer of the month selection. It pours a rusty, orange color with a head that quickly dissipates. The aroma is very hoppy with some citrus. The taste is malt with a little orange taste. I can also taste the hops. I am used to stouts so this was a nice change of pace.

My first Colorado brewpub experience was at the Oasis in Boulder. My friend Tom and I had just spent over a week backpacking in the Wind Rivers Wilderness and were heading back to Pennsylvania (where we we stationed - USAF). I hated to see this place close years ago (and after I had moved to Colorado Springs and made, perhaps, a couple of visits back to the brewpub) but am glad to see the beers being brewed again in Denver...on to the beer review...

Gold colored body; thick, sticky, white head; fine, gently rising carbonation bubbles; rings of foam laddering down the glass. Grain and esters in the aroma; peach. Biscuit malt flavors; honey; slight fruitiness; mild hop bitterness. Medium body; crisp and clean; overall soft sweetness edging towards a dry finish.

Nicely balanced beer drinks easily and is very satisfying after every sip.

Welcome back, Oasis!

I must thank my truck driving friend Fred for picking up this beer, I thought they had gone out of business, I guess Rockies Brewing now bottles their beers, he doesn’t remember where he picked it up, he also picked up a Scarab Red. It’s been over 4 years since I’ve sampled one of these, and the last bottle I got from a beer club.

The pour from the 12-ounce brown bottle is a slightly hazy golden amber color with a generous white head that is somewhat creamy and the lace a thin coating upon the glass. Nose is sweet malt that is fresh and crisp with a nice malt start also lightly sweet and the top light in feel. Finish has a moderate acidity with the hops delicate and pleasing to the palate, quite dry and a respectable beer.

Oasis Pale Ale pours a glowing golden color. It has a fine white head that had decent retention and displayed a little lacing.

The aroma is hoppy with a little fruitiness.

The taste is malts and some citrus up front with a hop finish and bitter aftertaste. It was nicely balanced but rather pedestrian, and a little on the thin side.

Overall, it was a respectable but unexciting pale ale.

Medium gold color. Medium white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and piney. A medium to lighter bodied American Pale Ale. Malts are fruity and only slightly sweet. Hops are grapefruity and piney. It’s over balanced towards the hops and they tend to drown out the malt sweetness, but not overpowering enough to be annoying. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean but a bit thin at the finish. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Pours a light golden color with a pretty white head that reduces to a white ring that leaves a small amount of lace on the glass.

The smell is floral and hoppy, but nothing extreme.

I must be getting twisted by Rogue and Deschutes. If a pale ale isn't massively hoppy, I'm dissappointed. I held off rating Oasis' Pale Ale until I had really tasted it. After due consideration, I have come to my senses and realize that this is a good beer.

Its flavor is nice and blanced with a good floral hoppiness and a crisp mouthfeel.

This was one of my beer of the month selections. The past few selections haven't been as good as they should have been. It's good to see Oasis Pale Ale bring them back on track.
