This place is located in Solon's uptown shopping plaza. A very large store by organic retailer standards, it also has a decent beer selection.

An open cooler shelf holds the bulk of the beer, with seasonal displays (Oktoberfest, X-mas, etc.), and two endcaps with bombers and 750's. There are a few "organic" 6-packs on the bottom shelf, and singles near the middle. A few big names like Alesmith and Stone with some of the more common Belgians like Corsendonk and Duvel here and there. The staple Great Lakes brews are there, along with their seasonals, but that is the only local brewery I saw represented.

The employees are very friendly, but their knowledge of beer is about average for grocery stores. The store is clean and appears well-maintained with attractive displays. Adequate selection, but even the price of the singles seems a bit steep.

If you already shop here and are used to spending $$$ on organic foods, then you probably won't notice that your beer cost a little more. But if you are simply looking for a store with a wide variety of craft beer at a better bargain, go around the corner to Solon Wine and Liquor.

This place is right around the corner from where I work, so it's easy to stop by and pick up some brews. The place itself is one of the U.S.'s largest organic grocery stores. So it makes for some interesting grocery shopping as well.

As far as beer goes, the selection is not bad. They have an open cooler with a fine selection Micros. Mostly six packs, with some bombers and singles (singles possibly from broken six packs). You will find a good selection ranging from Pyramind, Three Floyd's, Stone, Goose Island, Victory, (many more, those are just to name a few). An interesting touch is the large seasonal table which (as it's name would make you think!) carries a large selection of seasonal beers. Recently I got to try so many different winter/christmas ales but still came to the conclusion that GLB Christmas Ale is my favorite!

There are also two decent sized endcaps carrying warm six packs and bombers. Be careful of the end-cap that backs up against the open air cooler, as it seems to be six packs that have had a hard time selling and are aged quite a bit.

Being an entirely organic store, they do offer some intersting organic beer. Can't really think of the name of any of them right now, but from talking to the beverage manager he mentioned they are the only ones in the area to have those offerings.

Service is just a bit above your average grocery store service. Most workers are simply stockers and cannot tell you more than if they have something in stock or not, but are friendly. The beverage manager however is very open to talk beer, knows his stuff, and will be willing to consider requests if his suppliers carry what your looking for.

Overall, not a bad place to stop and get some beer, and has easy access right off Rt. 422.
