From a 12 oz. twist-off brown bottle, no freshness date, sampled in a pint glass.

Appearance: Poured a clear light amber with a large foamy, bubbly off-white head, some lace.

Smell: Light, faint aromas of floral with a subtle lemon citrus, and toasted grains. Nothing "EXTRA" here.

Taste: Thin sweet malty with toasted grains, watery caramel, soft hops, sour citrus with a sour, grainy finish.

Moderate carbonation and a softly crisp, thin medium-light bodied mouthfeel, the fizzy carbonation gave this a more watery than creamy feel.

Drinkability: Nothing EXTRA about this.... just an average APA.

A medium sized off white head falls into a nice lacing above a clear copper colored beer.

Citrus hops with pine notes blended with a light caramel aroma.

A little bitter citrus hops bite with just a very slight caramel malt presence in the taste.

A slightly dryish aftertaste with a bit of hops tagging along with this medium bodied pale.

Pours a nice golden with a 1 inch white head which lingers a bit then leaves decent lacing on my mug. Clear and clean looking.

Smell is good...mostly malty, but nothing spectacular.

Taste follows the smell. I like this beer though, nice blend of light malt and light hoppiness. East to drink. Very little aftertaste.

Mouthfeel is a little thin, but for a Extra PA, i think it shouldn't be too hearty, so I'm fine with this.

Overall, pretty good beer. This is an ideal gateway beer as it isn't overwhelming, but still has some flavor and character.

Thanks to Dr. K for the sampler pack. Poured this from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass.

A) The color is golden fleece. There was about an inch of white foam.

S) Mostly malt, maybe a little hint of grass.

T) Again, I'd say malted barley. There was some bitterness. I didn't pick up on any pine or citrus.

M) Clean and crisp. Moderate amount of carbonation. There was nothing to distinct about it.

O) This is pretty drinkable, although I wouldn't go out of my way to get it. Stay thirsty my friends...

This beer looks great, clean and clear, good carbonation and head.
Semi sweet, straw like aroma. A good dose of hops here dominates the flavor.
An easy to drink ale, but there is a harsh graininess that can't be ignored.

Mouthfeel is clean and crisp.

At a restaurant arrived already poured into a pint glass, was an attractive amber orange with a creamy white head of 1-2 fingers that leaves lacing as it slowly diminishes.

Citrus hop on the nose with a background of malt. Overall is lightly applied.

Palate is a background of mild roasted malt with bready/biscuit flavors balanced fairly well by the citrus hop that isn't at all overpowering in a medium bodied moderately high carbonation beer. Drinkability is there but I only ordered the one.

A - Poured out a clear, bubbly, orange/amber color with a two-finger high, off-white head of bubbly foam. It left a little lace on the glass.

S - It smelled of citrusy hops with hints of pine. There was a good bit of caramel in the nose, too.

T - It tasted of sweet caramel with a nice bitter hop kick. The hops added a touch of citrus and pine flavor.

M - It was crisp and sharp with a dry finish. A light bodied beer that is exceptionally easy drinking.

D - This is a solid APA. It is tasty and sessionable.

Pours a bubbly golden amber with a lively dyanamic head that fades to an alive half cm. pretty significant retention, just sticks to the side of the glass. Smell is malty hoppy goodness. Taste is a bit more faint, but still a nice blend of malt and hops. Certainly not overbearing. Many might consider this too "run of the mill" as the taste doesn't pack as much of a punch as many BA's would prefer. Light, crisp, mouthfeel and good drinkability. I could take down a few of these in a sitting.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a pint glass. Pours a light, single-finger head that disappears pretty quickly, but leaves a nice lace on the glass. The ale is a light golden color, surprisingly light for a pale ale. The aroma is a bit hoppy and spicy, but nothing all that exciting.

The beer's taste is not a whole lot more interesting than the aroma. It's pretty standard issue... the hops are only present in the form of some spiciness up front, and otherwise it's a relatively malt-oriented pale ale. It has a medium-light body, and seems a bit over-carbonated.

Drinkability-wise, I'm sure I could drink this all night, but I just don't think that I would want to. This is really mediocre at best; there's just not anything interesting going on here.

Poured from a 12oz bottle.

Golden with a nice layer head retention.

Earthy hops on the nose, a bit of pine, and fairy average pale malt.

Taste is mildly bitter and a grainy maltiness.

Overall, lacks character and body. Not much really going on to comment about. I guess if it were this or a coors, well you know.

Poured into a chilled pint glass.
Comes a clear, light amber.
Citrus hops on the nose.
Bready malt up-front then grainy and then the citrusy hops.
Leaves a dry and weakly bitter mouthfeel. Not bitting, but more on the crisp side.
A fairly dull brew but it's right up some people's alley so cheers to them.

Bottle poured into a pint glass.

A-Pristine amber beer, showing high carbonation. Slightly off-white head retains well while being constantly replenished by the streams of carbonation bubbles; remains as a thick layer through the whole drink.

S-Slightly citrus hops cut through a nice stage of toffee biscuit malts.

T-Hop bitterness cuts through a nutty, toasty malt, showings of bicuity heartiness, while still feeling and tasting relatively lightish. Hop character is slightly of citrus, herbal. Finishes dry.

M-Medium-light body, almost medium. Mediu-high carbonation, maybe a bit too much, but still refreshing.

D-Good. Accessible in its ease of drinking.
