In terms of ABV, the equivalent of more than four typical AAL for $1.19 for a 24 ounce can. Given what you could reasonably expect given that, I don't see how someone could complain -- indeed, how someone couldn't find this better than anticipated.

Still -- well, it's Camo. Whadjya expect?

I used to drink this all the time when I was a legit alcoholic.
The good thing about this stuff is that it was about $1.45 for a big can and two or three of them could get you really drunk.
The bad part is every thing else. This beer is gross in every way, with the taste and smell being the worst.
You can smell the actual alcohol mixed with a gross almost putrid stench.
The taste is overwhelmingly sour in the worst way possible. It's not "sweet" sour like with candy, it's BAD sour like something has spoiled. Absolutely bad.

Camo Black Ice brewed by Camo Brewing Company, with an ABV of 10.50% This malt liquor pours out of a 24oz can into a pint beer glass. The color is a deep golden amber color with a small white head. The head to this brew, goes away fast. There is is some real super thin lacing to this brew, it kinda sticks to the side of the glass. The smell is Strong with Malts an grains an lots of alcohol notes. This brew has the look an smell of most malt liquors on the market, not saying that is a bad thing. Now for the taste, it is Bold with flavors. You pick up a lot of alcohol notes mixed with Malts and grains. The body of Camo Black Ice is heavy. This is alot smoother than the Camo Sliver style of this brew. Still a little rough around the edges. Nit my first choice , but if you need need a one an done kinda brew, this might fit the bill. The mouth feel is Bold, Alcohol, Malts, Clean, An Refreshing. Overall I am going to give Camo Black Ice a 2.5 out of 5. Camo Brewing Company, did a decent job with this Malt Liquor.

24 FL. OZ. can
Served in a pokal glass

This beer pours a beautiful straw color and is topped with a mountain of effervescent, white head that leaves some really nice spider web lacing.

The smell takes me back to when I was a child and my dad, who raised sheep, went to the local feed mill and had grain milled for the lambs. That smell is reminiscent in this wonderful elixir. I also get wisps of floral hops along with a healthy dose of alcohol.

The first few gulps make me winch due to the booziness. Once I get used to it I begin to pick out sweet grain notes along with some stiff alcohol.

It is quite thin which is typical for this underrated and undervalued style of beer.

This beer is not for the faint of heart. It is made to deliver a lot of bang for the buck, and believe me it does. Being a connoisseur of some of the finest malt liquors in the United States, I find this beer amazing. I love the strong taste. I love the fact that it is 10.5% abv. I love the fact that it is $1.79 for a 24oz can. I just wish I could find it locally. I had to buy it on a recent trip to Detroit and tote it home to enjoy after falling in love with it at my hotel room at 1:20am with a bag of White Castles. Craft brewers need to explore this style more or exclusively.

In my 3 years of legal drinking i have drank at least 200 brands/types of beers. This is the worst ive had. Taste is a mixture of nail polish remover and apple juice. Smell is of a typical high gravity but stronger. Poured about 1 ounce of this beer into a shotglass to observe its pale yellow color with a high white head that disappeared quickly. Drank the other 23 ounces from the can because honestly nobody that typically drinks this beer would pour it into a glass. This beer has one purpose in life and that is to get people drunk at 10.5% alcohol. However even rating it in that sense it is a terrible beer. Steel reserve, Hurricane and side pocket are all similar in alcohol content and price and they all have a much more tolerable to even slightly enjoyable taste. So realistically im not sure why Camo Black Ice even has a place on the beer store shelf.

Clear gold with one finger of short lived head. Some lacings.
Smell is typical M.L. not too bad for the style.
Taste is malty some brewers syrup hops are hard to find. No bad flavors and alcohol is well hidden.
Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation. Finish is mostly sweet and not too dry.
Overall a tasty M.L. for such a high abv. Would I buy it again? Maybe but just one 24 ounce can.
