New restaurant in Portage Michigan. Opened by folks that have the best restaurants in town. Theme is Northwestern US -inspired with an Asian food sub-theme. Food is very good to excellent but beer is what is really important. Restaurant just opened on 1/19/04 and beer list is very good. 12 taps with only macro Amstel Light. On draught are locals, Bell's, Arcadia along with western stalwarts Sierra Nevada, Widmer and Rogue. Very good selection of bottles with about 50 count. About 10 are macros' but rest are Michigan and California, Oregon and Washington.
As you enter the 12-14 seat bar is on the right and main restaurant is straight and to the left. Restuarant room is dominated by an enormous stone fireplace that burns real wood. Facility is totally non-smoking but they do have a beautiful patio out back overlooking a marsh that will be great in the summer for brews and smokes.
Summary is very nice new restaurant in the Portage area and always a few good beers to have with dinner.
