By Florida standards, this place isn't pretty good. It has a decent size cooler with lots of the basics, especially imported stuff you'll find most places, such as Warsteiner and the various English and Mexican beers. Nothing really out of the ordinary. I was surprised to not see many (any?) Florida craft brews here.

The place actually seems to be more interested in its wine selection and has frequent tastings. For beer, I'd come here to have a selection of the usual staples but maybe somewhere in North Naples for something unusual or special.

These places litteraly popped up everything down there in the space of a year or so. Your typical big liquor store their selection can be lacking at times I have to admit, but they will order anything that you want, just dont really stock all that much in terms of diversity. Now that being said it is still a decent stop. You can find most locals with a decent amount of Avery, DFH, stoudts, and the like. Prices are decent, nothing terrible over priced. I think the staffs lack of knowledge suffers most just from them being transient and not really caring about the product. Still though a decent stop for sure.

This is a decent store with a great selection -- if you're into wine. There is also a good selection of liquor, but I'm not into that as much. But, for such a large store, the beer selection is very disappointing. That's especially bad since I usually come her during summer vacation, when I really have the time and inclination to suck down some serious suds while lounging around a pool in the shade of the palm trees. The prices are pretty good, though, especially if you look for their specials. Still, you'd do just as well getting your wine here and heading to a large supermarket (there are a couple close by) for beer.

This place is located just Southeast of Old Naples, Rt 41 turns East as you head south out of town, and its on the left.
Somewhat dissapointed, as I wasn't expecting to find much here anyways. Florida is definately a black hole in the craft beer revolution. I couldn't find anything that I would have taken back in my luggage, which has never happened before.
They had a very limited selection of imports, although Chimay and Orval were residing in the house. No Florida micros at all.
Sierra Nevada Wheat, some Anchor. No Julius Echter.
No one acknowledged us in the 10 minutes we were there or when we were leaving. Thats ok, we won't be back.
There is a newly opened ABC further up 41 approaching Fort Myers on the right. We didn't stop, but might be worth checking out if you parched and are sick of drinking Amber Bock every where you go.
Another spot we found was Nicola's Liquors in Bonita Springs, It's on Rt 41 also. They had a small selection there too,but we did find Celebration ale for a mere $8.99/sixer.

This place may not actually fill all the requirements for making it onto the BeerFly list, but being that it is probably the best place to find beer in the Naples area, it's prudent to keep it here because without ABC, a BA might get pretty desperate and drink a Heini or Becks without knowing a better choice existed.
There is a good selection of Sam Smith's and Young's, some SAs, SNs, Anchor, and five brews I never tried before (Dergy's, From N.Carolina), Belgians Orval, Boucanier and Lindemans, German's Weihenstephaner Kristall, Weisse and Lager. A few oddballs like Efes from Turkey, Kalik from Bahamas (a good lager), plenty of Latino beers, and Fischer from France are available, as are the normal Euro-macro brews and US macro-swill. Why Mich Ultra and Amber Bock are so popular in SW Florida, I'll never know.
While shopping there, I noticed one bottle missing from many 6-packs. I found out later that fellow BA, Genaro was in there before me.

11/26/05 - ABC carries a line of Dunedin beers from Florida. I forget to mention that most of the beers are kept in the large coolers (a definate plus!)

Quality – This was your basic warehouse-type alcohol store. It looked like it had been a warehouse or something before a liquor store, or they built the place from scratch and never got around to fixing the place up. They had nice coolers though and a full-size walk-in cooler.

Service – I didn’t have occasion to explore the level of service here, but the staff that I spoke with all seemed friendly and nice. There was a person offering wine tastings, and he seemed to know his wine pretty well.

Selection – I enjoyed the selection here because I found a lot of beers here in Florida that aren’t available in Seattle. I was actually able to find a couple of good Latin American ales along with a few other hard-to-find imports. Virtually everything they had here was in a cooler, which was also nice.

Wine and liquor took up most of the floor space though, so the store definitely doesn’t focus on beer. All in all the selection was pretty good considering that it isn’t a beer specialty store.

Comments: They actually have a wine storage service that you can use. You bring in your wine, rent storage space, and they give you the key. Pretty cool.
