This is a delicious Tripel of the highest standards. A beautiful golden color with a firm head and good lacing. Some nice sweetness on the sides, with dubbel like maltiness. There is a bit of slight hoppiness on the roof of the mouth. The sizzle here is perfect: the carbonation biting from the start to finish. This is going to rate as one of my favorites!

L: Gives a clear golden color, gives of a big top of creamy head. The head stays there for a good time.nice lacings on the glass.

S: the aroma is fruity and sweet. Light fruits like pears, peaches and apples. Burned sugar and yeast.some hints of honey and herbs.

T&F: Starts of fruity with yeasty and sugary sweetness in the background.it finish of with nice hoppy bitterness in the finish. I think it was quite good balanced in all the flavours and the aftertaste is lasting a good time and it never get to bitter in the taste. The mouthfeel is creamy and the alcohol content is masked very well.

O: a great triple. Very drinkable and enjoyable. I sure will try this again

poured from a 1pt. 6fl. oz. brown bottle that is corked and caged - best before 12/04/15 ink jetted on the bottom of the bottle

Steen Brugge Tripel Ale filled my chalice with a light hazy orange gold color that produced a very generous 2+finger white frothy [almost cotton like] head. The head held well and left behind clingy foamy lacing. Upfront the smell is of light fruit, apples and pears, followed by sweet Belgian sugar and yeast. The taste matches the nose with lots of sweetness from the sugar although there is enough hops to keep the sweetness in check. A little peppery spice and banana is also noted. The mouth feel is medium bodied with an assertive carbonation. The alcohol seems to be noticed a little more than what is typical for the style.

Overall, this is a solid triple, however, it lacks some of the smoothness and complexity of top shelf triples.

close to its cousin, the Bugge Tripel. Too bad Gouden Boom went uner. Thanks to palm for saving the remains.

Seems to me the carbonation is much higher that it should have been. On the bright side, the alcohol feel is well hidden.
Big head does not last too long, or at least that's how it was with my bottle. Overall, feels a bit overrated to me, but I'm under no circumstances an expert on the matter.
